My opinion is that Scotty is comforting Uhura as a friend either due to Kirk or Spock being injured. They aren't an item and SU won't break up despite what tumblr is saying. Lol

LOL yeah, I've seen tumblr's theories...

But yeah. I had the same thought. I'm thinking Scotty comforting her is tied to the shot at the end of the Japanese trailer. Because her reaction, covering her face and hiding, makes me think she's trying not to watch something that might be too painful. And Scotty looks upset as well...

Can't wait until we get the full trailer. :)

Damn they look cool! And foxy. Spock and Uhura are too hot to get broken up. I have faith.

It's just the teaser trailer. There are only like... two shots of Spock total in the US trailer; three in the Japanese trailer. I think there are actually more shots of Uhura than of Spock.

The full trailer will probably show more... and might have some S/U things.

I wouldn't rule out the involvement of Kodos in the plot. I can't remember the details of the comic book but I thought they took care of Mitchell already and I can't see Abrams rehashing Khan. Somehow a story about dictators and terrorism seems like the kind of sci-fi moralizing that Trek is known for.

But anyone can pull theories out of their posterior at 3 am (why am I not asleep?!). It definitely looks awesome. :) Now if only I could convince the other half to put up with the hassle of going to the only 3D cinema in town.

Kodos!!! That would be so cool.

I think whoever the "VILLAIN" is, he will be somebody most fans don't expect.

Please can the next movie be more about science and the adventure of exploring space and meeting new races and befriending them -- not about vengeance?

I will have to go back as well and re-watch "Where No Man Has Gone Before." Then I will watch this trailer again. Of course, my boss is a Trekkie junkie and has already told his wife that she is going to have to come home early, cancel some scheduled surgeries or assign them to another surgeon, so that he and his daughter' nannyTrekkie partner in crime...i.e. ME can go to the 3D IMAX next week to see the Hobbit and the 9 min trailer......yep, I am flailing right now.
