Prompt-and-FIll session #7: Opposite Day!

Apr 11, 2011 18:15

Hi! It's prompt-and-fill time, so get excited!

Each month, we are happy to pay homage to the brilliant creative devise in fandom known as the commentfic meme. Here, will throw down a theme designed to span both SPN & RPF genres. We will then ask you, the participant, to prompt your fellow writers & artists with ideas, au tropes, lines of song/verse, a line of dialogue, word banks, some scene you are dying to read, etc.

After you've prompted, fill someone else's prompt! The idea is to stretch your mind as far as you need; to feel free to respond with any idea at all. It's a way to jog your creativity, to keep its action clicking in some small way.

Responses are completely open, so think wide broad and deep: a sentence, drabble, paragraph, 5k, fanmix, vid, painting, photo edit, macro, manip, icon set, stick figure comic, ms paint drawing, dialogue exchange, haiku, limerick, etc. would not be out of place here!

promote on your flist, and get others to join in!

LET'S GET OOC, EH? Someone is not acting like themselves, and is causing some major rift or confusion in an otherwise normal dynamic. Sam is oddly obedient; Dean is bizarrely emotional. Jensen's suddenly the most verbose person on the planet. Jared is apathetic, ambivalent, and in general cannot be paid to care. Bobby can't stop telling the boys he loves them; John loses faith and gives up. Becky thinks Sam is lower than the gum on her shoe.

What are the conflicts and moral dilemmas that push a person to give up the carefully held ground of their character? Is it do-or-die, is it infectious love or joy, is it bone-deep terror? Resignation? Anger? What does someone have to feel or be confronted with in order to completely change how they are and how they approach an issue? The most important part of it all: how would their unlikely behavior change how their friends and loved ones see them? Or how they see themselves?

In the land of Supernatural, we happily have the devices of curses and possessions and bodyswap and hoodoo and all of that good stuff -- tons of interesting ways to change the elemental bits of a person. Go nuts!

Now, prompt! And then fill! Multiple fills on the same prompt are welcomed!

The fills so far!
