I haven't read it, but ru_salki99 is pretty much badfic. Her stuff is readable though. Def not k_a levels.

this nonnie's comic-loving soul had a look at the art and now may not read the fic because Dean's using a gun. Can anyone tell me if they fight humans or monsters? Vigilantes who use guns on people are a squick of mine, blame Batman.

He doesn't use a gun or kill people, nonnie. Makes a point of it. He's a superhero, after all.

Drinking Deep: The characterization's off, and a SPaG beta would have come in handy. (Commas; the spelling was fine, iirc.) I liked Cas' toppiness, though. Regarding the writing: it's a little too dialog-heavy for my taste; some more description would be nice.

The Best Laid Plan

I really liked the first part of this fic! It's funny and self-referential, with just a light enough touch to make me laugh out loud.

BUT then the fic body proper starts, and it's lost me completely, starting with:
[Castiel] had been in contact with the demon Crowley for some time. The demon had once been an angel, ranking even higher than Anna before his fall.

ORLY? It's used to handwave/set up the plot device of Castiel asking Crowley (instead of Gabriel, who is still alive!) for help in starting a prank war against Dean, but nope, not buying it. The rest of the fic flows awkwardly, with some parts overwritten such as these THREE paragraphs of Castiel waiting to meet Crowley:
Castiel closed his phone before zapping to the meeting place immediately. He needed some time to prepare for this conversation ( ... )

(hi! A new tracking!nonnie here. This might cause some flooding. Apologies in advance.)

Against Pollution (for takadainmate), R http://community.livejournal.com/deancastiel/2315482.html

Party Like It's 1999 (for hobbleit), PG-13 http://community.livejournal.com/deancastiel/2316768.html

The Circlet (for a dropout), NC-17 http://community.livejournal.com/deancastiel/2316847.html

Pollution - I didn't finish it, tbh. Dean's voice seemed off. I read it up to the scene where-in Dean tries to lure Castiel away from Sam (some time after Cas talks to a frog), but the dialogue sounded so not-Deanish that I stopped. Might still make a second go at it at one point - hypothermia! - but not right now.

Party makes me jealous of the author's skill, srsly. The kiss scene was just so beautiful.

Circlet- read this one all the way to the end, but the sex scene(s ( ... )

Ohh, I really liked Party. Consider me jealous too. I loved the characterization, and the fact that Dean can interpret Britney. I can just imagine Sam and Bobby's faces, lol. Well done.

Author of Party, if you're reading this: trust your audience a little more. I'm not a stickler about tell vs. show, and there are places where you used telling effectively to move the story along without detailing things that are relevant but peripheral, but I can also recall at least two instances where you've shown and then also told. Your readers are smart and (possibly more importantly) your writing is clear: you don't need to explain what just happened.

Everything else about this story I absolutely love. <3

The Circlet prompter: I am judging you SO HARD. That's not a prompt, that's a summary-and then you drop out?

uh, I haven't read the fic yet

I agree with everyone else that Party was adorable.

Remembrance (for kandkl) , PG-13 http://community.livejournal.com/deancas tiel/2344525.html
prompt: Castiel is almost human, very near to falling, but he protects Dean during a hunt anyway, like an instinct, and he gets injured. Dean is pissed and tells him he can't just go doing that anymore. Classic H/C.

Side by Side, We Go (for anoradh) PG-13 http://community.livejournal.com/deancas tiel/2345224.html
elements of two prompts: 1. Dean has been thinking about Cas and 2. Castiel thinks Dean is happy with Lisa. Also thank you to recipient for allowing me to go AU

Out of Our Nightminds (And Into the Light) (for chellefic), PG-13 http://community.livejournal.com/deancas tiel/2347077.html
prompt: ‘coming out’

I have a feeling that I Cleanse the Mirror is prob going to be one of the best fics to come out of this fest. Any guesses about the author? I think it might be takadainmate but I'm seeing a lot of authors I don't know receiving fics so I could be completely wrong.

Seconding that I Cleanse the Mirror was probably the best fic so far, and also I think The Joy Is in the Process was very good, too, except the epilogue was just too much for me. I dunno why, exactly, it was just a little too pat about giving me a happy ending and actually detracted, for me, from the sweetness of the rest of the fic.

Reading I Cleanse The Mirror makes me feel so bad for what I wrote. I thought it was ok before, but now I'm certain it's just plain pathetic compared to that.

So, yeah, I Cleanse The Mirror is quite good just like the sun is quite shiny.
