I'm pretty excited for this! I hope I don't end up finding it a drag, but somehow I don't think so. I mean, I get to watch Sam slamming Dean into a wall 80 times, what could possibly be wrong with THAT? ;)

Question - how do you want the actual dialogue formatted? Will it be like,

DEAN

I can't do this alone.

SAM (incredulous)

Yes you can.

DEAN (looking down)

Yeah well... I don't want to.

I guess what I'm asking is how you arrange the names and lines, and also the actions they do while speaking. Do those get italicized? Also, how do you mark scene changes? I'm totally new at this, so I need a bit of hand holding ^_^ If you have an example from another show to look at, that might be helpful.

I think a more detailed example would be helpful. There can be a lot of variation in format and it might be better to be clear now than to have to fix it later. For example, in this Veronica Mars transcript, it uses a quasi-script format where it notes int/ext and location (though doesn't include the end-scene 'cut to:') in italics as well as physical description set apart from the actual dialogue. The dialogue itself isn't separated so it looks like:

Person A: x
Person B: x

Whereas in this Dark Angel transcript it lists all the physical action in italics and within parentheses, with the location and date at the very top. The dialogue does have spaces in between, like this ( ... )

Hey Nan, genx88 pointed out to me that there are already transcripts for most of the episodes posted here: http://supernatural.oscillating.net/scripts.htm

I don't know how consistent they are in format, but from what I see it seems pretty consistent. They're only missing a few eps. I don't know if you were aware of these, and if so is there something wrong with them? Just thought I'd bring it to your attention :)
