It had been a movie that had given her the idea. Those Winchester bairns had invited her over to watch a movie about cars that turned into robots and back again. She had been FASCINATED, until Samuel had leaned over and told her that it was not a spell and no such spell actually existed. She had cast back her memory and pouted to realise he was right.
The numpty.
But one of the car-creatures, the yellow one named for an insect she adored, had been able to speak with songs from the radio. She had apparently gotten a look on her face, because Dean had asked her what was on her mind. She just smiled and gestured at the screen.
Dean had laughed and said yeah it would be nice to know what things were thinking.
Then they both drifted to sleep.
She had drifted to the garage and crafted a spell.
The next day the bairns' beloved Baby could speak to them and was a definite maternal presence in their lives.
Dean sent her a case of El Sol beer. Samuel sent her a copy of a grimoire. She didn't tell him she already had this one.
She just enjoyed their thinking of her.
