Castiel quietly watched Dean dice a carrot. “It is just . . . There are many who consider this to be woman’s work.”
“Feeding others -- “
“ -- is a honorable task, I know, but this dish also has no meat and is not sweet. It is what you have called rabbit food.”
Dean cut eyes at him. He racked the vegetables into the bubbling pot.
Sam entered, inhaled deeply, and grinned broadly at Dean who could swear he heard feathers from a giant, invisible bird fluttering.
“Ah. Now I understand.”
