Of course, Seth loved his sister Leah. They shared the same blood and nothing could break this bond. Until Jacob came along, and with him this whole new world of responsibility for Seth.
Jacob and Leah didn’t always get along well, and Seth tried to not take sides when they fought. Leah should know that she could always count on him anyway.

Faintly, the scent still lingered in the air, but Seth was sure - a new vampire had recently run this part of the woods.
“Jacob, Leah, you should come and see for yourself,” Seth thought and he knew he would be heard as Jacob and Leah were in wolf form, as well.
It didn’t take long for them to find Seth, sniffling in the undergrowth.
“Nice find, Seth,” Jacob said and pressing his nose down to take in the new scent himself, he added, “Looks like we got a new player in town.”
“It will be fun to tear him apart,” Leah said excitedly.
“Hey, wait, it’s my turn!” Seth threw in and jumped in front of his sister, trying to make himself as big as possible. “I found the trail after all!”
“I think you both will get your fair share,” Jacob said suddenly and they both turned toward him. “I think here’s another scent. And it’s not very old. I would guess there are at least two of them.”
Jacob hadn’t really ended his thought when there was a rustling sound nearby. The three werewolves all turned in the same direction and snarled.
With a loud shriek, a male vampire with long blond hair came jumping down from a tree a few feet away from them. And it didn’t take them long to realize that he really wasn’t alone. Close behind, another male vampire came running from his hiding place.
Jacob, Leah and Seth seperated to get a good defense, and then Jacob was the first to attack the blond vampire, while Leah jumped right at the other. The blond one was a big guy, heavy built and strong and Seth saw that he managed to throw a few good hits at Jacob. Seth watched Leah’s fight for a second and thought that Jacob might need his help more, so he jumped into that fight. Together, they defeated the blond vampire; ripped him to pieces.
When they turned around to see how Leah was doing, they witnessed how she was pinned on her back by the other vampire. But not for long; Leah quickly recovered and with an angry snarl, she bit the vampire’s head off.
“Sweet, Leah!” Seth exclaimed.
Breathing heavily, Leah turned around and looked at her little brother angrily.
“Why did you help Jacob and not me?”
Seth was puzzled. “What? I thought you could handle it.”
“And I couldn’t?” Jacob threw in. But he wasn’t as mad as Leah was.
“That’s not what I meant.”
“What do you mean, Seth?” Leah asked.
“Look, I can’t split myself and fight with the both of you. I saw that Jacob’s vamp was stronger and bigger, so I thought I help him.”
Seth thought for a moment and added with a sheepish grin, “I didn’t think that you couldn’t handle your little vampire yourself, sis. But alright, next time, I’ll help you then. Apparently, you really need me.”
“Seth Clearwater!” Leah exclaimed and with a shrill bark, she ran after her brother and chased him playfully.
