So very nice...

I've actually had a number of really nice things happen lately...

Last week, when I had to show up to a militia function with a rag wrapped around my head like a brain surgery patient, everyone was nice enough not to notice unless I mentioned it, and then they said it was fine.

And when I was absently commenting on my family, a Raveler posted to ask ( Read more... )

Thea, how wonderful. This all sounds incredibly great!

New friends and Braveheart - ♥

Um, well, I'm not feeling too great, but we have a hamster - so that's nice.

Is your hamster new to your family?

He is new. We got him yesterday and he's a chocolate brown colour. he is very, very sweet and we've called him Hobnob (I wanted Draco or Neville but was overruled *sigh*)

(And when I said not feeling great, I meant healthwise, cause I'm a bit flu-ey and not mood wise. Mood wise I'm in a happy place - so that's some more niceness for you.)

Neville would have been a perfect name for a sweet little brown hamster, but I guess Hobnob will be okay too.

Hopefully by now you are feeling much better!

I am so glad to hear that Braveheart is using his lips more! He is a brave heart, indeed. And using his communication board is great ( ... )

Spaceships AND true love? That is pretty amazing!

Have you ever read a copy of "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain?" This is IMMENSELY helpful in drawing things so they end up recognizable. Not that I've gotten that far with it...I used to have to leave class to go cry in the bathroom sometimes. And get a snack. I might not have been the only one. There might have been a reason the cafeteria was on the same floor as the drawing rooms...

I will use a specialized pattern that I bought in Williamsburg. I was asking about it on Rav and the woman who wrote it entered the conversation and has been terribly terribly nice to me! She approved my huge bargain Ikea duvet as fabric, and told me how she would correct the pattern if she were making it today. So that should be fun -but first, I have to make a set of stays...and I have gained weight...so of course I want to lose the weight before I make the stays, and....

anyway.

I have a copy of "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain." Also, a lot of the stuff suggested in that book is what the drawing instructor is having us do, on very large paper ( ... )
