Masuda would be the ABDOMINAL MUSCLES.
Massu should be the abs, I guess? Without abs there's no point in doing muscle training at all. Abs are necessary to do anything, they're the basis. Being aware of the abs you can shape your other muscles, they're involved in every movement. Massu would be those basic muscles. During the meetings to organize the tour he gives us the base thinking of the best setlist and how the costumes should be. When the base works well the other muscles can move freely, right? We're just like that.

Tegoshi would be the THIGH MUSCLES.
Going on we find the legs muscles, Tegoshi! It's not easy to show the thigh muscles but they're a big muscle so if you train them a lot they get strong and tough. When you train them your weight changes too. Thanks to them you can be faster and better in movements. Tegoshi during the lives is like that, he gives his best. Thanks to Tegoshi's activity NEWS can move more smoothly. He's the backstage leader of NEWS, the thigh muscles that get to move all the others! By the way, it's so difficult to compare members to muscles!!

Shige would be the BICEPS.
Shige is the triceps. He's the triceps because...No, he should be the biceps! (*Kato is beside him listening to the interview playing the guitar and he suddenly sings "I'm the triceps because~♪") Because the biceps are used to "pull". He's the one who pulls without pushing. He's the genius of pulling (lol). Instead of standing out he prefers to look over the others. But he knows how to show up when there's a problem. During the MCs, the live meetings, he listens to all our opinions and he pulls without saying his...and in the end he just says "How about this?" Yes, Shige's like the biceps (lol).
S: I don't have big biceps, now that you called me that I must train them harder!
I would be the PECTORALS.
After all I'm NEWS' leader. I'm the one who stands in the front, because of that I always have to do my best. The pectorals are the "showing muscles", they can get bigger and bigger. But you must also have some contents. For some people it's easy to shape off the pectorals but they also lose it quickly, they are muscles difficult to keep. NEWS hasn't been a strong rope until now, it's been a group difficult to raise. From now on I want to show off NEWS properly as a leader.

Masuda would be the COACH.
He loves to think about the stage and the costumes, right? In other words, he manages the players, he searches the best formation for the match. He's good at it and he loves it too. I don't really care about the setlist, etc (lol). I have the confidence that going on stage everything will be fun. Because Massu will take control everything, right? I will wear every costume they pass me. If they tell me to go out naked I'd do it too (lol). To compare him to a real person I'd say José Mourinho, the coach of Chelsea. He's not quiet and kind as Massu, that man really has a bad temper. I guess they're quite different (lol).

Koyama would be the DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER.
This position in other words mean "the guidance", he brings the ball forward after the defender cleared the way, it's a linking position. A lot of captains are defensive midfielder, Koyama is our leader and he's good at balancing attack and defense. People in this position can't be short-tempered and Koyama never gets angry. He always tries to calm down the others. He's perfect. He brings us together even when we're being absurd. I'd compare him to Sergio Busquets of Barcelona. He's tall with long legs. He's always very quiet and cold, he always succeeds in bringing the ball forward.
K: That's nice! It's a position that has to adjust itself with the others, I hope I'll always be able to that in the group.
Shige would be the KEEPER.
Of course the keeper protects the goal, but he also stays in the back observing all the players. The teammates and the adversaries. It's the position that should talk and call the most. When the adversary is coming, when the defender should go ahead, when it's time to attack, etc. The keepers must have a broad view. Shige can observe the group coldly, quietly. Shige's always very calm. To compare him with a real person, I'd say Iker Casillas of Real Madrid. He's a keeper who can always stay calm and never hastes.
S: You told me this before. After all I'm the type to assure harmony keeping the balance, not an attacker.
I would be the CENTER FORWARD.
I don't think much about the defense, I just want to score. For the group, of course. Many people back me up and in the end I can shoot. Scoring points is the mission of the center forward. During lives I don't want to have the best for myself, I want to bring the team to victory. I'm not a support, I'm an attacker. I'd be like Gareth Bale of Real Madrid, super fast!

Koyama would be the WHEELS.
He'd be the one-way wheels. Normal wheels during the cornering brake a little because of the inner ring difference between the front and back wheels, the one-way wheels can rotate freely so the brakes don't stop them. There's a little gear than can be applied to their tires, you must build it by yourself. Moreover, with normal wheels the tires don't move if the motor doesn't work, these ones can move also if the axle is off. I chose this for Koyama because he can move freely according to the other people (lol). His axis is very clear though. Am I wrong? (lol) When we're discussing about something, even if he has a completely different opinion Koyama will agree with us (lol). It's the kind of person who always says "That's correct!" If there's a strong wind blowing he's carried away. He fills the difference between the inner and external ring, right?
K: If there's a gap between the aim and reality I can neutralize it well, guiding the others to a good path.
Tegoshi would be the SPEEDUP GEAR.
When you choose the speed setting for you Mini 4WD you don't do it to go randomly fast, it's important to choose carefully so that your car doesn't fall out of the course. The speedup gear is tiny but makes the car go really fast! So fast that sometimes you do fall out of the course anyway. Tegoshi is really fast too. He's like a not modified car, his motor and gear are naturally fast. Moreover, he's definitely the kind of person to take part on a race (lol). He's pretty loaded but he's full of courage. Once he comes back you can give him a good roller and off he goes again. He does that, it expresses his power and personality.
T: I'm fast! Whenever I'm ready I immediately want to go on stage. I don't hesitate in private life as well. When I go to eat out I immediately know what to order. But I hate when other people urge me to hurry (lol).

Basically small tires are slow. Because they're tiny. But according with the use they can be faster and useful. That's why when I held the Masuda Cup tournament more than half of the contestants were actually using small tires. Large tires are faster but they goes out of the course often, they lose stability, small tires keep a better balance and they can run longer. So, I said "heavy" because I wanted to express the heaviness of Shige's movements (lol). He does the housekeeping and he rarely goes out (lol). Basically he's lazy and his legs are slow, but as the small tires he can be useful and amazing in other things. In short, his potential is hidden.

I would be the BEARING ROLLER.
Bearing rollers are really great. The rotation strength is amazing, I love it. It's reliable. The bearing rollers with gum appliances are a little affected by friction during the run, but they're very silent. The plastic ones are silent too. Normal bearing rollers are quite noisy. I've always liked silent Mini 4WD. Fast and silent. I want to be like that too (lol). I want to be kind, smart and never hurt anybody.

Koyama would be the BOTTLE.
Koyama could be the bottle, right? Without a container there would be Umeshu at all, just ingredients. I mean that he's the one that gathers them all. He's our leader, he does his best to be the container to gather together our 4 different personalities (lol). Anyway, he wouldn't be one of those big, heavy bottles used for Umeshu, he's more like a glass bottle. A sharp bottle that shows prettily its contents. How about that?
K: I'm happy if I can make everybody shine at their best. I will accept every kind of Umeshu!
Tegoshi would be the PLUMS.
I think that the plums should be Tegoshi. There can't be an Umeshu without plums. There would be no flavor without them. The plums before being used for Umeshu are sweet and fruity like peaches, but plums are usually seen as sour, isn't it unexpected? Their sweet scent is close to Tegoshi. His image is very sweet and cute, he has a strong feminine side. But if you try to bite the raw fruit it'd be very hard, so bitter and difficult to handle! (lol) That's why he's like a plum.
T: The plums of Umeshu. Everybody knows them even if they never drank the liquor. NEWS are the same. I want people to know about NEWS thanks to me.

The sugar...no, the rock candy. People usually use the rock candy with Umeshu, not sugar, balance is very important. Rock candy is sweet, it makes the Umeshu's taste mild. Its balance with Tegoshi (=the plums) is very good. If there were only the plums it would be something impossible to drink because of its bitterness, rock candy mitigate that. That's Massu. He brings harmony to the group, for example he created the costumes for our lives, making us able to show all our different charming points. I'm not exaggerating...wow, I'm saying really nice stuff here! (lol)

I would be the SAKE.
I'm fine being the sake. I always prefer bitter drinks. Junmaishu (=sake without extra sugar and alcohol) over Daiginjo (=sake with extra rice). Usually white liquor is used for Umeshu, but once I bought online a Japanese sake for the production of Umeshu. It tastes completely different. White liquor has the harshness of distilled liquors but the Japanese one becomes incredible mild. It doesn't sting, the smell is totally soft. Moreover its alcoholic rate is very high. Sake is necessary for Umeshu, I want to be the same in NEWS. Japanese sake. Strong and bitter!
