GIRL FRIENDS #19
"Wearing last year's yukatas looking back at this summer"
One year passed since their last travel to Kyoto where they produced their own yukatas. This summer ended staying in Tokyo, so they wore their yukatas and went to spend some time in Ueno Ameyoko, where they reached a certain drama location...
M: Ameyoko is the abbreviation for Ameya Yokocho (=lane). I thought it stood for American Yokocho.
S: But now Ameyoko reminds mostly of the morning drama! Do you watch it? (=Talking of "Amachan")
M: I do! Every morning!
S: Since when? I caught up with it just recently!
M: I've watched every episode since the first one.
S: Really? Gosh, I cry every time!
M: Je je! Je! That's not enough! Je je je je je! (="Je je je" is a catch phrase from the drama, expressing surprise or shock)
S: I even tried to download a ringtone of that famous "Je je je". It wasn't good for my cellphone though.
M: I spent all my summer watching dramas. (Imitating Hanzawa Naoki) "No, I'll pay it back 10 times more!" I really wanted to say this! (=That's another catch phrase from "Hanzawa Naoki" drama)
S: I wanted to watch "Hanzawa Naoki" but I was too busy with the tour.
M: Ah, right! You had a passionate summer! I wanted to come to your live so much!
S: When is Eito's tour?
M: It starts in November. We're still preparing it.
S: How do you do with meals during the tour?
M: When we go in another city somebody goes having dinner with the staff while others just order catering and go back to the hotel, or they just ask for the room service. For example Ryo-chan and I often go straight back to the hotel and order the room service. Sometimes he comes to my room and we eat together watching TV. But we barely speak, we drink, eat and then he goes with a "bye". Everytime I'm like "Why does he even bother coming?"
S: You don't usually go to eat out together?
M: Sometimes we do. But I can't say I restrain until the dinner, if I get the room service I always try to choose something light like a fillet steak.
S: We're only 4 so if one says that he doesn't want to go out it feels weird.
M: Ah, I see.
S: In the end this time we always went to eat all together. All the times I think. As result I gained weigth. I was full of adrenaline and I couldn't control myself. I became loyal to the appetite.
M: If you reach the restaurant and eat in the first hour after sport you're out. Because of that I can never really lose weighttoo.
S: And what do you do in your free time between lives? For example we had two days of lives in Fukuoka, after the first day I drank a little and I woke up at noon of the next day. Then I had to spend time somehow until the night live.
M: Ah, in those cases I just wander around.
S: You go out?
M: I always want to go out. I wake up early, eat breakfast, have a walk searching for something, I usually check the recommended places on a gourmet website. I usually eat ramen or the special of the day.
S: That sounds fun.
M: Once in Nagoya I went to watch a movie with Ryo-chan and Sho-chan. We ate nabeyaki and went to the cinema. What do you usually do, Shige-chan?
S: This time in Fukuoka I went to the beach with Koyama.
M: The best in summer!
S: The stadium was very close to the beach, the weather was good too se we thought to go. We invited all the Juniors but nobody had swimming suits, they asked me to buy some for them and in the end I spent almost 30000 yen in costumes...
M: Uwah! That's a lot of money!
S: I was like "Don't even think to throw them away! You must wear them a lot!" (laughs) Moreover they all wanted to have swimming trunks of my member color, green. Only Koyama and one of the Juniors chose purple, I properly scolded him saying he was a traitor.
M: At the beginning of the summer I went to the beach too, I ate locomoco and on the way back I found myself in the middle of a traffic jam.
S: Maruyama-kun, it's been a while since you could spend a relaxing summer, right?
M: Well, last year I was particularly busy so this time I wanted to relax as much as I could. I used to say "I don't need holidays, I want to work!" but I realized that relaxing is important too. Lately I can search for new inputs and get ready for work quietly, it's really great. Being a little more free I can also find time for my friends and go to eat with them.
S: About that, thank you for celebrating my birthday.
M: Oh, right! It was so much time ago already.
S: Maruyama-kun often contacts me the day before or the exact day to ask me if I'm free to hung out, that time he sent me a mail way ahead asking if I was free on a particular day. I replied I had nothing to do and he said we would go to eat teppanyaki. I thought that maybe he invited other people too, but we were lonely in a private room (laughs). Maruyama-kun cooked the meat for me, he even bought me a present and got me a dessert with my name on it! He organized everything perfectly, I was really happy but it was a little embarrassing (laughs).
M: I'm used to this. When I want to do something I do it thoroughly. Anyway, when I was preparing all that sometimes I went "What?" by myself.
S: You felt there was something wrong? (laughs) The present was a passport case, a bottle of Scotch Whisky of my year of birth and a special scotch glass. They were way too good!
M: Everything began when at first I bought only the passport case but I thought it wasn't enough. I've always had the habit to combine goods, as natural consequence, and since I had free time, things turned like that.
S: Then I got to visit Maruyama-kun's house.
M: Right. We didn't know where to go after the restaurant, at first we talked of going to a magic bar or a investigation bar but it was Sunday and everything was closed. So I decided to suggest my place. That definitely felt wrong (laughs). We went on drinking there.
S: Of course, how did you choose that restaurant?
M: Well, I thought it was safe to go for teppanyaki. I didn't know if you went on a diet, I thought that in a restaurant like that you could ask for a vegetarian menu, and it's cheap too.
S: It was delicious.
M: True! I've always wanted to taste Sendaigyu.
S: They don't accept reservations, right?
M: Exactly. By the way Shige-chan's influence is very strong. I haven't started it yet, but do you know Higuchi Takehiro who wrote "Saraba Zoushigaya"? That man...
S: Are you talking of "Tamori-ron"?
M: Exact! Did you read it? Isn't it interesting?!
S: It is. But maybe it's interesting just because it's Higuchi-san writing it.
M: Right, his writing style is good and gentle. There's some kind of respect in it.
S: I read all his books. I thought that "Tamori-ron" could be good and I received a copy from a fan. It was a signed copy and it said "To Kato-kun, let's meet one day."
M: Eh?! Amazing!
S: I'm thinking that maybe I could really meet him (laughs).
M: I think you'd get along! Your literary style is similar too, isn't it? Delicate and detailed...
S: I think it's because I was influenced by him.
M: If you didn't have those same characteristics on your own you wouldn't even like his works.
S: Well, I guess you're right.
M: When I was reading I found some parts that were very similar to your novels. Like when you insert music in the descriptions, or when you talk about philosophy in a light way, it's really interesting.
S: Lately I'm not reading at all~ I'm just going to fish.
M: Not touring? Just fishing? (laughs) Did you eat the fishes you caught again?
S: No, this year I went to fish tunas.
M: Cool!
S: But I didn't fish much, at the very end the sea was invaded by a big group of small fishes called mabura. I went on fishing oping to catch a tuna in that situation and my rod did start to pull. It was my first tuna, I was nervous and my hands started to shake so the thread broke. So frustrating!
M: Eh? Did you see the tuna? Uwah! You could catch something that good? I wanted to eat it~
S: By the way with this heat the motor of my car broke. I brought it to the mechanic and he told me that my safety check was about to expire in few days, he saved me!
M: That was really je je je!
Loved when they talk about the different ways of spending the tour of the two groups ♥ I'm so sad Maruyama didn't come to NEWS concert...I wonder if he didn't had time of if he couldn't >_> Until now nobody of K8 went to NEWS cons and viceversa, that's suspicious =3= Stupid JE.
Shige spent really a lot of money that day at the beach! Juniors with green costumes are adorable tho ♥_♥
And Shige's birthday! Damn, I really want a friend like Maru!! *____*
