What a fun day! We had some bats visit WonderLab, and I got a photographer to come in and take publicity photos for free. I planned the volunteer training with the volunteer dept director, and I am in charge of the ice breakers (my favorite part). I left work 2 hrs early today and went to the Saharamart wine and beer tasting event, where I met up with friends. We got to try some seriously good wine and beer, including my favorite brewery (Unibroue) and wineries I've been to in Oregon, as well as locally made ice cream. Such a great start to my weekend! On the way home, I got some nice boots at the outdoor gear store for half price. It's starting to become boot season outside, cold all of a sudden. Brendan bought up the last of the local tomatoes at the farmers market today, and we are making Tomatoes with Goat Cheese-Basil Dressing to bring to Lauren and Louis' place for dinner tonight. Brendan has been working like crazy on his papers, and it's been nice to have time to do whatever I want on my own. I'd prefer if we had time off together, but I make the most of it.
