My folks are coming out here for Thanksgiving, and I'm pretty excited to show them around. Plus, we'll get to go to a French bistro for Thanksgiving dinner...I never was a big fan of the whole classical spread. We're visiting Chicago for a couple days, then spending the weekend in Bloomington.
I got to work as a birthday party rep yesterday for a 5-year old's birthay since my work study student couldn't make it. I had forgotten how spazzy they can be, and I almost lost my cool. Whew! I couldn't believe that they wouldn't be coaxed into submission by the mention of pizza, cake, and ice cream.
Otherwise, my work is pretty easy to handle; I'm working on planning an ice day for sometime this February. I've been very housewifey lately, since Brendan's been working so hard. This semester I've seen less of him than any other since his very first one.
There was a stray cat that I almost took home with me yesterday, and I literally had to pry a child's hand off the door to WonderLab when I was opening the door to the museum to get it all set up for the day.
