Not a Great Day!

Well, I went for my 8 week follow-up after the knee surgery. They(the nurse practitioner) want me to do 4-6 weeks MORE of PT! I am so bummed! They don't want me to do it because my right leg is weak. They want me to do it because it looks smaller. They don't know if it's weaker or not, all they did was look at it. Didn't bother to test the strength of it, just compared how the two legs looked THROUGH MY SWEATS! WTF? They think the muscles on the right are still weaker than the left because of the appearance of different sizes through the sweats.

Here is my theory.....Those of you who have met me in person know that I am not a small person. Could it be that since I've been working out the right leg so much more than the other that it is just more toned and my left is just fatter? Hello?!?! Does that make any sense to anyone but me? (What do you think shopperdoc? Make sense, or am I making excuses? Oh, And I have been doing my exercise faithfully since I finished PT last week.) Of course I didn't think of this theory in time to ask them about it. I came up with it in the car on my way home. I always seem to think best in the car. ;)

Of course, my theory may all be BS as well, but it sounded good to me. I found all of that out after waiting over 2 hours to see the Dr. My appointment was at 7:30a.m. and I finally left the building at 10:00a.m. It didn't seem worth the wait to me. Everyone around here, friends, people at work, and even my PT guys, kept telling me how great I was doing. "I can't believe how wonderfully you're moving!" etc. I guess I believed it. Anyway I scheduled a PT appointment for Monday. I'll explain my theory to the guys and see what they think.

So after I left there I went shopping to get a new pair of tennies. I was not able to find any. Then I went to Target, because we don't have one where I live. While using the RR there, I noticed that my necklace was hanging out the bottom of my shirt. The chain had broken near the clasp, but luckily the pendant had fallen toward the clasp end and was still there. So that was a ray of sunshine, that and Target, and BAM. I just love Target. I hope we get one around here really soon. I bought myself (finally) Pride and Prejudice and North and South, all 3 parts. I got smokin' deals as they were $30.00 each. I couldn't believe it all 3 parts of N&S for $30.00! Then to add to the rays of sunshine I went to BAM....new to our area and picked up a bunch of new-to-me books from some of my favorite authors' backlists!! After eating lunch at Panera, I was feeling better. :)

Sorry, if I wrote too much!
