Woooo Hooooo! PT is REALLY over this time!!!
Well, I went to my PT appointment this afternoon. They agreed with me!! I love it when medical professionals agree with me. ;)
Greg thought that more PT because the leg I had surgery on was smaller around than the other was pretty much as out there as I thought it was. In fact he said (and I quote) "From a medical-management standpoint, it's irresponsible." He said that there was no way my insurance would pay for it just because the right leg is smaller around than the left.
He measured them and it is smaller, by 4 cm. He also tested the strength and it was very slightly weaker, but again that's normal and to be expected. There was nothing more that therapy could do for me that I can't do on my own. He also agreed with my theory that the right leg is more toned. LOL! Since I'm getting around fine, doing my exercises at home, and haven't had any more pain, he said the decision is mine to make. So no more PT for me. :)
So now I'm fighting with my insurance company who says that for each separate invoice that is billed to them, I must tell them that it is not workmen's comp. Never mind that I've already told them that 3 times, and that it never has been workmen's comp, ever. I just don't get it. Can't they just put it their computer that if it's to do with the right knee, it's not workmen's comp? So for some unknown reason they refused to cover my x-rays and bloodwork before surgery, but did cover the x-rays I had after surgery. WTF?!?! I still can't figure that out.
Now the next thing on my agenda is to plan my sister's surprise 40th birthday party. She thinks it's a wedding shower. I really hope we can pull it off and totally fool her.
