Green Rose drama review

I originally posted this review on crunchyroll. I'm deleting my account on there so I thought I'd post here.

It had its moments of brilliance, but overall I felt like I was watching a half-baked revenge centered drama. It had too many faults. Go Soo’s great acting was the only thing that kept me watching until the end. I thought the way they developed Lee Jung-Hyun as an individual character was great. It was interesting to see how his pure soul slowly darkened as he was forced to hide in the shadows to prove his innocence. The first 10 episodes were the best, but after that it seemed as if the “cake” had been taken out. It had great potential, but the writers did not meet it sadly.

I would not recommend this to someone who wants to see a good drama centered around revenge, let alone romance. The character downfall was great, but the re-establishment failed terribly. Sorry, but that’s just my opinion. :(
