I originally posted this review on crunchyroll. I'm deleting my account on there so I thought I'd post here.
There’s still one episode left to watch, but I don’t think I need to view it in order to wrap up my feelings regarding this drama. Cinderella Unni was a pretty good drama, overall. The writer did a great job at showing all different degrees of love. In Korean dramas, I usually find the second leads annoying, but in this drama I found all the character dynamics and relations interesting. It has been a long time since I’ve seen such deliciously complex, dark and compelling characters that I can actually relate to on a human level. The acting all around was top-notch, especially from our two female leads Moon Geun Young and Seo Woo. The writer wasn’t able to make me genuinely care about the KH and EJ’s love story, but she succeeded in getting me to care about the future of the Song/Goo family. Their family dynamic was the biggest WIN in this drama for me.
Overall, this drama was pretty weak in the romance and plot department. The characters do redeem it a great deal, but I do not believe Cinderella's Sister met its full potential....
7/10.
