Taemin had run out of tears a long time ago. There was a limited supply of them after all. There had been tears (lots of them) when the door had slammed, when the footsteps had faded to a resounding echo in his ears, when the cold floor had been his only companion for the night. But they dried, eventually, because tears are spilled blood of an injured heart and every wound seals in the end.
Just that they never completely heal.
Which is why Taemin now stood by the phone, gripping hard unto the tabletop, with no tears shed but a - still - broken heart. He picked up the receiver and dialed the ever-familiar numbers.

The words which had been so familiar to him felt like an old glove fitting over his worn heart, and nostalgia and longing gushed over Minho, engulfing him. A hard knot embeded itself in Minho's throat and refused to dissipate, and Minho gasped for air trying to speak. It's too late now, too late..
"..I do, too."
