Further Confusion (FC) Log #1

So I'm in San Jose now in the Sainte Claire hotel, listening to Stream City and the three other songs they have up on YouTube. I'm really considering downloading this.

Yesterday (?) was difficult to categorize. Basically, I worked on Tuesday from 4pm to midnight. Went home, showered, left for the Union Station out in Downtown L.A. to pick up someone I didn't really know. Got to Union Station around 2am, and then drove to Santa Clarita to pick up Kevin. Left for FC, and drove up to a rest area just before Harris Ranch, where we ate a sh*tload of nachos at Denny's. They didn't have any ground meat, so we got a $3 discount on our order, $1 per person, since we all ordered our own order of nachos. They're seriously missing something if they don't have the meat, but they're still good. Got to talk a lot to the new guy, whose name is Paul and is from Detroit, Michigan. He talks a lot though, so I didn't get much sleep on the way up even though Kevin took over driving for 5+ hours. We stopped at Livermore for gas, where my parents always refuel. AZZY IS COOL. Yep, that's all you need to know.

Kevin kept driving after that up until Vallejo, where we picked up a guy who claims he's 280 pounds. If you look at him, you won't see it. Seriously. But anyway, we stopped off at the Safeway close to where he lives and picked him up around 9-ish am. I took over driving at this point and drove back down from Vallejo to San Jose. We saw some retarded car with a massive spoiler that went past its own roof. Kevin took a picture of it.

Upon reaching the hotel, we were disappointed to find that there is no real parking area specifically for the Sainte Claire other than for valet parking. We sorta decided to do some stuff before parking so we could see some sights. Went to the Kinokuniya out here, which was about 10-ish minutes away. Picked up the Mio and Yui K-ON! Character Single CDs, which I haven't seen ANYWHERE else, so that was interesting. Found out at that time that it would take an hour to get to San Francisco (one direction), so we decided against it. I was extremely tired at this point, having had only 2-ish hours of sleep after having worked a 7.5-hour shift and driving all the way up to San Jose.

So we checked into the hotel after parking in the parking garage nearby that charges $18 max. We're not leaving until Sunday, and hopefully my car is still going to be there in the morning. There's a guy at the front who Kevin calls "The Douche Canoe," who seemed pretty snooty and didn't let me check into the room with just a 1-person reservation. I had to be more honest with him and I told him that we have 4 people in the room (even though we're going to have 6 people total eventually). So with that, the room rate's going to go up, but we're not sure how much it is. I'll do some research after this to find out.

Found our room at the very end of the hall on the 3rd floor, room 302. We also got our normal keycards swapped out with FC cards that look like they have cub art on them. Eww. In any case, I slept for 13+ hours from around 12 noon, and I woke up officially at 1:24am. Took a shower and ate the leftover nachos that Paul couldn't finish from Denny's on the way up here. I'm thinking of staying up for 16-ish hours so I can register at least around 5pm for the convention, then sleep after that. There aren't any panels going on today that are all that interesting, so I should be fine with that. Kevin's planning to go to the Wells Fargo and get some food around 8am. I'll shlub around until then. Maybe take time in opening my new K-ON! CDs or something. I have to use the bathroom.
