Not so much an idea for an invention or anything, but I would like to see someone do a study on how the computer age has affected people's names.  For example, since many older and even some modern databases refuse to accept the apostrophe as part of a name, how many people with names like O'Riley, O'Connor, D'Amato, etc. have taken to omitting the ( Read more... )

Occasionally I come up with ideas for inventions and things.  The problem is that before I know it I get distracted by something else and the idea gets forgotten or put on a shelf in my mind and ignored.  So as I come up with these things, I'm going to jot them down.  I may not remember them any more easily, but at least I'll be reminded of them ( Read more... )
