(no subject)

So I was eyeballing the coffeeshop I want to work in at the mall when I realized abruptly that the male employee there (I think there's only one - I only ever SEE one, anyway!) was carrying something roughly the size and shape of a violin bow. Then I do that whole wriggling thing to see between patrons, and he's also carrying what appears to be a violin case! And then I'm pretty sure I saw him holding an actual violin for a second, then took the case and set it in the back (which is visible from the angle I was standing at).

I almost died with glee because coffee + violin!playing? ZOMG.

So then I hopped over to my mom (yes literally hopped, haha, I was gleeful!) and we conversed about that for awhile, then the subject turned to the place in general and how this one chick I know who is rather spiffy works there (and I didn't know she worked there), and how it's probably, like, THE perfect place for me to work (aside from some sort of soundgeek employment).

And then there was this:

Mom: "Everyone who works there is ALWAYS wearing a hat of some kind. I've never seen that guy without that hat on, and I'm pretty sure every single employee there wears a hat all the time...!"
Me: "Haha, true story! I think I saw one without a hat once, but she isn't around often... The old chick. Like, older than you sort of old."
Mom: *not paying attention* "You should go over wearing a hat! I bet they'd be like "wow, she really belongs here!" and hire you!"
Me: "I don't wear hats."
Mom: "That's because you don't have one!"
Me: "...true. And there was that pretty spiffy one, at the store that time... the one I almost walked out wearing because it was comfortable plus I'm dity so I forgot I was wearing it? We should go get that one!"
So ...I might be getting a hat sometime soonish? 'Cause she was pretty serious. And that hat was amazing. I don't recall what it was exactly, but it was definitely some form of amazing.

i have a strange fixation with violins, employment is an elusive thing, silly, lessthanthree, coffee!, soundgeek
