So, yesterday we had a super healthy breakfast:
Um, yeah, that's a cheesecake there. With chevre from our girls' milk, and raspberries from the lower garden, and cantaloupes from the upper garden.
Awkward shot, cos neither Val nor Mark actually wanted to be in the picture, and the sun was not in my favor, and I wanted to start eating myself, but you'll notice that bowl in the background there. It contains Mark's emerald kale, which of course makes this breakfast 100% Good For You. The presence of kale can turn even the most dubiously healthy of meals into something completely justifiable. Also, it's super tasty. So was that cheesecake, holy cow. Naturally we had it with chocolate sauce -- but there was kale! And cantaloupe! (Really, it was quite the alliterative meal, especially if you add in the coffee.) Please also note the honey in the squeeze bottle there -- that's honey from the bees here. First honey harvest! Super exciting, and deliriously delicious.
So, ah, I don't know what y'all are having for breakfast lately, but I'm pretty sure it can't beat homemade cheesecake, cantaloupe, and kale. Nom nom nom!
