These are what piñons look like. Those little brown things there are what we harvested. Also, check out the view. It was absolutely stunning up there.

Here's what a cracked open pine nut shell looks like. The white bit inside (sorry, I was shooting into the sun) is the pine nut itself. It was super tasty, I'll have you know. And, you can see some more in my little basket there. Looks an awful lot like poop, no? That's why I was only picking 'em off the trees. I'm all for surprises, but, ah, not that kind.
