Memorial Weekend Update
So, the two Ds showed up yesterday and today and more work was done on the back. The roof ceiling soffit is now in place, the trim has been painted, the windows resealed and painted where necessary, gutters cleaned, and the new shutters have been purchased. Also, they brought samples of paving stones for my new walkway from the patio to the parking area, and, of course, I chose the largest and most expensive. But that was the one that immediately caught my eye, so that's what I picked out. Depending on the weather, with fingers crossed I predict the work will be done sometime next week. However, as rainy as it's been, I'm not holding my breath.
I let Nikki out to enjoy some sunshine this afternoon, and he immediately found a pile of dirt to roll in. Now he looks like a dirty hobo cat.
The local bunnies were out in force today. I amused myself by watching a young buck chase an even younger buck away from his grazing doe. Then she'd hop away while he was chasing off the competition, and he'd have to go chasing after her. :-D
Visited mom today, and she's doing well, though she's still on breathing treatments. She was in bed, but I told her that tomorrow she needs to start getting up. She's been in bed for over a week. The nurse said that she's scheduled next week for all her therapies, so she'll have to get up whether she likes it or not. She won't, but she needs her physio, especially after being ill.
I stood outside and watched the boys working this morning, and now my blue-white Irish skin is pink. *g*
