My deepest condolences to all the Packers fans on my flist. Dudes, they looked - well, not good in the first half, but at least they were giving the fucking Eagles (sorry
cindermom *g*) some trouble. The second half was just painful.
I watched Heroes last night - flipping back and forth between it and the game - and, I think it may be interesting. Big cast though. I'm not sure if my little brain can keep them all straight.
On Friday night, I watched the new Doctor Who, and, wow, I'm not sure I like David Tennant's Doctor. I'll give it a couple more weeks, probably, but not being a big Who fan, I really have to like the actor playing the Doctor to continue to watch. I found one thing in The Christmas Invasion interesting.
When the alien ship is approaching Earth, and one of the PM's lackey's tells her that the American President wants to take charge, she announces quite self-righteously that she doesn't want him take over and start a war. And then the writers have her Pearl Harbor the retreating spaceship. The hell? And their point was?
My mom seems to be settling in okay at home. However, she's not doing the walking like they were having her do in rehab even though I nag at her every day to walk up to the elevator and back at least once a day. That distance would probably approximate what she was doing in rehab. She always has some excuse why she just didn't have time to do that.
I bought new shoes yesterday, and they felt really comfortable at first. Three hours into the day and my feet hate them. *headdesk*
Nikki's been on his thyroid medicine for a week now, and I really think it's made a difference already. He appears to have gained a bit of flesh on his hips, he appears more energetic, and he's eating like a fiend. Yay! I still want to look into the radioactive iodine treatment though.
