So after a week on the new Mediterranean diet, I'm down nine pounds. This says a lot less about the new diet than it does about the one I used to have. Blood pressure is also a lot closer to healthy, thanks to a painfully low sodium intake. I swear I'm not starving myself, either. It's just that salads are two meals a day.
Hoping to drop another 15-20 by the end of this year. But, the first pounds are the easiest by far. It'll be slow going from here on but at least I feel a pretty hopeful.
