(no subject)
Today is a lovely day.
Although it's not what I'd call pouring down, it's well and truly enough to have you drenched on any unprotected 10 minute walk.
It's the beautiful kind of day when you would just love to not have to go out in it and appreciate it in the comfort of a lovely house with big windows on the 4th floor (oh, am I looking forward to our first thunderstorm!!).
Adelaide has a friend staying for a little while. She's just moved to Edinburgh and where Adelaide got another job in 4 days, this friend got a job in 2. So they both ran off today at 7:40 (just as I was getting up) all donned in their most protective coats/ umbrellas (Adelaide's friend left her umbrella at a shop the other day so dressed up like it's the middle of winter.. in Antarctica!) whereas I get to sleep in a bit longer, take my time getting ready, grab my umbrella, walk to the bus-stop (which takes me longer to do than it takes to walk out my front door and down the 4 floors worth of stairs), catch a 5 minute bus and walk into work.
Have I mentioned how much I love living here?
