Summary : Takes place after World War Three, when the Doctor discovers he enjoys seeing the universe through his companion's eyes.
A/N : This is cross posted to dw100 for the challenge #172 pod. The definition I used is from dictionary.com and states : Entomology : an insect egg case.
She poked tentatively at the small iridescent orb with her finger. “An insect's egg?” Her face scrunched up as she pulled her finger back, a sticky glob stuck to the tip, stretching like melted cheese. She sniffed and her eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Smells fruity.”
“Wait until you try it,” grinned the Doctor, tossing one into his mouth and biting down. “Mmmm.” He closed his eyes, savoring the morsel, then looked at Rose expectantly.
She licked the tip of her finger as he watched. Her eyes lit up, and he thought of all the wonders he could show her.
