Drabble for Aibhinn

Nov 09, 2007 15:10

Got a text message at work this morning from my tortured friend (
aibhinn) who was sitting in a meeting and bemoaning the fact, unlike myself, wasn't able to write.  So to make her feel a bit better, I began to text her a drabble.   It isn't wonderful, but it hopefully helped the boredom. Just a small drabble, the Doctor's POV with a little help from a friend.
Pairing : Ten/Jack, mention of Rose

He remembered.

They'd stood and watched the sunset

She promised him forever.

The valiant child, who'd die in battle

He'd meant to keep her close.

She'd been torn from his world,

His hearts then ripped in two.

He longed to remember,

The warmth of her hand in his.

Only a human girls touch

He tried to convince himself.

He ran from his demons, hid from the pain

And stared at the small disc of 'forget' in his hand.

Felt a hand slip into his;

Was engulfed by a warm embrace.

"Together, we'll remember Rose,"

Jack whispered, and held him close.
