Probably not a smart idea, going out alone, but Roy considered it a bigger folly for him to bring someone out with him. He always HAD fought better alone, with or without his flame.
Since he had all senses trained on his surroundings, Roy managed to pick up the fact that something was moving in his direction. A closer look noted that it was a young man, who was too preoccupied with whatever was on his mind to really watch where he was going. The burden, then, fell to Roy to step out of the way...
...Or try to. They bumped shoulders nonetheless, just at the entrance of Death City Heights.

"Oh my. I'm dreadfully sorry..."
He paused to look up at just who it was he'd almost bumped into. They were still in the lobby, it was clear enough for them to make out forms.
"Mister Mustang!"

"Arthur." the alchemist stepped to the side, surveying the smaller man neutrally. With his expression, one would think that he hadn't just taken an oh-so-casual walk outside, in the mysterious fog.

He smiled at the familiarity of the name, and then desperately tried to get rid of the feeling. What would this man think of him grinning over something that should be so trivial? "Th-thank you again, for helping in the sandstorm."

If only he knew it was in the same building he was staying in.
Precariously balancing his box of churros on top of a case of beer for Prussia, he reached his free hand for the doorknob and pulled it open. "There you are. Prusia has been-" and he stopped, there, because he noticed the other country's companion. He recognized the man, in fact, and pulled up a vibrant smile.
"Hola de nuevo!"
Reply
"Hello."
Roy nodded in greeting, and then immediately looked at what the other man was carrying. Beer, and some box of... something.

"Over the, ah, network, after I had finished shopping," he tested the knob, making sure the door was locked. Granted, all he had in there was food, but he'd spent a lot of time getting it, damnit. "Though I don't think I was able to introduce myself before I started making churros for Prusia."
When he turned back to them, he offered Roy his hand and a cheerful expression, still balancing his things in the other arm. "Spain. Or, if you prefer, Antonio. Antonio Fernandez Carriedo."

While at the clinic, he had been trying to do proper push-ups to entertain himself, but that was put to an abrupt halt thanks to Mister Watson. He wanted to train. He wanted to do something besides lying around in bed. Thank Fritz that his old war ally, Spain, was coming or he might have ended up going mad with cabin fever (even though it had been only a few days).
Frowning, he ended up gazing at the metal arm that he was forced to tote around. He could now walk a decent distance without falling over, but anything that required skilled balance (such as properly wielding a sword) was still impossible. Even as he tried to do push ups, he was having trouble keeping his body weight in check and more often than not, he fell to one side.
Right now, he was mixed with frustration, restlessness, impatience, and annoyance. Spain couldn't come soon enough.

So, after England knocked, he moved in to take the lead, opening the door with a frown. "Prusia! Why couldn't you have just said it was on the bottom floor of this building?"
He grumped, "Estúpido... I shouldn't give you any beer!"

Roy looked on at Spain's entrance with a fair amount of amusement before turning to Arthur, waiting for the other to enter before him.

"I'm a generous guy so I guess I can share this time." Even though Prussia was smiling, his eyes were saying something else. They were daring the others to say what they needed to say. Questions? Pff, he was ready for them. He was not afraid to answer. It was obvious that England was extremely discontent and Spain was troubled by what he was seeing. So if they wanted to say something now, they could.
Especially since he now had beer. Delicious, cold, foamy German beer...

For a second, he simply looked at Prussia.
And then he decided to take the dare. "You have your beer now. Will I get my story about what happened, Prusia?"

"This place is a desert, right? There was suddenly a huge sandstorm! West headed this operation to look around to see if anyone had ended up in the mess, or something like that. He placed volunteers into teams, but England and I were rebels so, of course, we went out on our own!" He laughed at this, amazed at their mischievousness. "At first, it was just a pain in the ass. There was fucking sand everywhere, and we couldn't see a thing. Of course, I wasn't scared or anything like that, but it was still annoying. And then, we saw something."

...And he could listen in from a distance, if he needed to. They probably wanted their space.

There, however, remained the problem. Prussia was a distraction. With how much that guy talked, argued, and tried to escape she had had her hands full for a long time which was a good thing. Without that, her mind now wandered.
Back to Edward's disappearance, back to what might be happening back in her world, back to the discussion she had had with Ling. Would she sign the contract? Would she even be of any use out in the battlefield? Then the most important question: what would they think of her?
It made her stomach twist, and she remained by the window looking out, as she so often had back home in Rizenbul--as if doing so would magically return Ed to her and Alphonse's side.

Roy quietly separated himself from the rest of the group, leaving the men to their talk. He approached the girl, displaying none of the hesitance that he actually felt.
"I hope you don't mind the intrusion."

"Not at all. He's always really happy to have visitors." she said, jutting her head in Prussia's direction. Spending so much time together had shed a bit of light on him, and she knew that loud and goofy attitude aside things were still a little difficult for him.
She smiled at Roy and held out a hand to shake "Sorry that we didn't get to properly catch up before. How have things been for you since you were dragged here?"

"They could be better," he thoughtfully remarked, "but I suppose that a little excitement never hurt anyone."
