[Date perks up from his own train of thoughts when he hears Ieyasu’s voice from the distance, and he turns around to properly regard the other warlord as he comes closer. He still looks pretty much the same as always, although there was a peculiar light in his eyes which had to make the man pause a little. He supposes he can ask about it later, if Ieyasu is willing to talk about it - after everything, its the least he could try to do. Of course, he’s certainly not the best kind of guy to talk about issues... but hey, if it helps somehow then why not.]

[But yeah, at least Ieyasu’s here now; he can think about that later once he did what he wanted to do. Date shakes his head once the other is close enough, breaking into a small grin afterwards.] Nah, not too long. [Makes a gesture towards the doors of Death Robbins then.] Come on in.

[Date lets out a small bark of laughter at Ieyasu’s words, grinning as he replies in turn.] You’ll get used to this place in time. [He himself had to take quite a bit as well - at least by the time Sanada Yukimura came, he already had a month to get used to Death City. That did make things sort of relatively easier, in a sense.]

[So yes, letting Ieyasu into the establishment now, Date following behind as he closes the door. Despite the loss of their owner a while back it seems that the place is still doing quite fine, as there is still quite a bit of a crowd in spite of the time of the day. Date takes a moment to glance around the place before spotting a nice table at the side, and he makes a gesture at Ieyasu before leading them both to said seats and settling down quite nicely. Once he’s settled, Date will help himself to the menu, peering at the usual exotic choice of flavors and ways of which to eat ice-cream.]

Seems like nothing has really changed... [More to himself than Ieyasu here, but Date soon looks up at the other and ( ... )

[The older warlord only shrugs mildly in response to Ieyasu’s first question.] It’s just ice-cream - not that all expensive, really. Besides, I have too much of these Death Dollars to spare. [His lodgings with Koujurou and Dante are free anyway, and there’s really not much to spend on when a lot of his stuff is free too. He earns more than enough with the Watch as it is anyway - Koujurou too, as well as Dante (when he’s not wasting his money buying or paying over god-knows-what).]

[Date peers at his menu once more, debating if he should go for chocolate or strawberry - both were his more favoured flavours, and it had been a while since he had taken either... then again, he ate strawberry with Dante often enough. Chocolate it would be then. He just makes that decision when Ieyasu speaks up once more, and the head of Oshu peers up from his menu to blink once at the other at his words.]Hm? Oh, the original owner of this place was killed by the Witches a while back, and I hadn’t really been here since then. I just thought that something ( ... )

[Well, Date’s never been the best kind of guy for small talk anyway. The older samurai makes a nod once Ieyasu gives his response, calling for a waitress after that so that their orders could be taken. It doesn’t take long for one of them to come, a customary smile directed towards the duo as she takes their orders. The samurai takes a moment to give his (people skills really wasn’t his forte) and allows Ieyasu to give his, only speaking again once their orders and given and the waitress has left with their orders. He can see that something is affecting Ieyasu quite badly alright, and with luck perhaps he might be able to figure it out through their conversation.]

So, what happened? [Being general for now at least, so that he can attempt to gauge about what’s affecting Ieyasu. Specific questions can come later.]

[Date listens patiently as Ieyasu speaks, frowning slightly as he hears the other’s words. Things had changed for him? ...strange, indeed. For himself it had been just a continuation from where he had been taken by BREW, living his life back in Hi-No-Moto for another year before he had been brought back here once again. To think that the device could do something like that... more and more now, Date couldn’t help but be more wary of this device that could have such an ability to do something like this to them ( ... )

[So he didn’t know. Well, Date supposed he had to expect that - still he can’t help but wonder. It certainly wasn’t like Motochika or Yukimura to ally with somebody like Mitsunari. He’s certain that there must be underlying reasons... but hell if he can know what they are. Then again, this was what happened in Ieyasu’s version of Hi-No-Moto... and as he knows, the two here are from his own. Perhaps something could be changed, maybe?]

[...but in the end, these are still nothing but thoughts, and thoughts that Date decides he will get to later. For now there are other things at hand which he would rather attend to. The older samurai breathes out loudly through his nose as he glances away, frowning still as he debates on these words for a moment before replying.] Well, there’s no use wondering since you’re back here again. And besides, Motochika and Sanada Yukimura here aren’t from the same version of your Hi-No-Moto anyway. Something might change because of this.

[Hopefully, at least. Date really doesn’t want to think of the ( ... )

[Mitsunari. Well, Date would be lying if he said that he wasn’t expecting it. Right from the start the other had already been a bit of a cause of concern for him, considering his position, but it seemed now that more than ever there’s more of him to worry about. Date of course isn’t too sure about the whole details that lie between Ieyasu and him, and he isn’t going to ask since he does respect the other’s privacy - but still, he can’t help but wonder how this will lead things...]

There’s not much we can do about him for the moment, since he hasn’t really done anything. [But still, if he ever shows a sign of hostility Date will be sure to act on the double - there’s a certain responsibility he has now, being one of the Zone Leaders of the Watch and being the first from Hi-No-Moto brought over by BREW. At the very least, he feels a need to ensure that Ishida doesn’t cause any harm to the civilians because of their own war.] Of course, I’ll keep an eye out on him - I don’t like him, but I’m not going to do anything or interfere with ( ... )

[Date shakes his head here then, letting out a small grunt while he’s at it before he looks back at the other warlord.] It’s not going to be just your problem if it escalates here - this isn’t Hi-No-Moto, where things can be settled on the battlefield. Death City is a place with only a few of us here and the rest of the people uninvolved with the issues we face back in our world. As part of the Watch, I can’t let civilians be involved into the mess that we have - and seeing how Triangle is for myself, he’ll only end up involving unnecessary people in if the situation is left as it is.

[There is a pause after those words as Date contemplates on what he’s just said. More and more now, he knows that he’s getting attached to Death City in ways he perhaps shouldn’t; but its a fact that he won’t be returning to Hi-No-Moto and Oshu until BREW sees fit, and he’s made more and more... comrades here already. And then there’s the Watch now, and his new position as Zone Leader... more and more, the he can feel the responsibility that weighs on ( ... )
