Maybe that was Yosuke's biggest fear of all. Maybe he and Souji wouldn't resonate, not when it really counted. And with Roy and Dojima there, depending on them...it really, really counted ( ... )

It was easier to compare differences in scenery rather then think about what might happen if he and Yosuke didn't resonate. If something happened. Except nothing would happen, he knew that. Time to go into mission mode.
"It said that we had two days for this mission. So we're here until something happens."

Roy padded himself down for his cigarettes, lifted the pack up, drew one out with his teeth as he rifled around for his lighter.
"I checked the case files. We don't have much to go by in terms of preference - it'll take anything - but it does seem to favor particular times over others."

"We should probably discuss how we'll handle this case."
If those two were fine with that, then he could call Dojima over.

It's no real wonder then that he sits up, the faint thrill of alarm tingling across his nerves before he can assure himself that nothing out of the ordinary is present. (To a certain degree.) Very little can wake Roy, he's come to notice, and stirrings in the middle of the night seem cause enough for some level of concern.
"Mustang?"

Now what?
"...Dojima."
He didn't move, and sure as hell hoped that his voice didn't sound nearly as shaky as he felt.

It's a simple question, a basic question, voiced more for his lack of having anything better to say. He's learned how to observe, to make note of details and differences and the subtle nuances of everything from tone of voice to posture to the particular movements of a man's eyes during conversation. It's a part of his career, his business, and he prides himself on doing his job and doing it right.
When it comes to matters that aren't quite related to his job, to personal affairs, dealing with those people on a level that isn't so near to professional, he's quite painfully aware that he isn't the most eloquent of men.
