Description: Rhode goes for a usual visit with a friend, and finds him in a mood she wasn't quite expecting.
Rhode actually needed to wear a light sweater when she went out today, with the oddly moderate temperature. It was nice, really; she just didn't like to risk an odd chill if things got windy, even if it was just a quick walk across the road.
Climbing the stairs, she knocked on D's door, rocking back and forth and looking down at her boots as she waited. They were starting to look very well-used, which wasn't terribly surprising, since she'd been using them almost daily since her partner had gotten them for her. They still managed to look nice, though-- Or perhaps it had been a while since she'd had to wear shoes beyond that time of perfect, new condition, with the way styles came in and out at home.
Something to think about later, really. She just wanted some tea and sweets right now, as well as a bit of company. The agonizing boredom and isolation that had been plaguing her since her arrival in Death City had started to get better since she'd started spending time with D. Admitting that was something she was rather loath to do, of course, but he seemed like the sort who wouldn't press for that kind of affirmation.
