As such, the Meister was up, about and wandering through the City, taking an hour or so out for himself before returning to his apartment and the precocious little not-child that was his Weapon. He was not expecting to see anyone, much less Sephiroth. He'd recognize those eyes from anywhere.
"Oya, oya. Is it not too late for deep thoughts?"

"It is never too late for such thoughts," The ex-General muttered quietly. There was a curiosity within towards the similarity between them, but Sephiroth did everything within his power to keep it from his expression as he stood there regarding the other Meister. "What brings you out so late?"

Then again, he really shouldn't be surprised. Not with the way things had turned out during the last time they had talked.

He took a step back and calmly pivoted his body around to keep Mukuro within sight. A subtle smirk curved on his lips at the question, and he chuckled ever so lightly before answering, "Sleep is something I am in no need of." "The moment that I burnt down one of their towns and killed the President I was free of their chains," he said without any doubt within his mind. It was obvious to all but Sephiroth, however, that he still remained unwillingly chained to his past by the hatred he felt.

If that was what Sephiroth believed, than that was what he believed. Perhaps, with another person, Mukuro would push a little more, insinuate, make the other doubt.
He'd wonder, at another time, what made this one different.
Reply
"And what of you?" Sephiroth asked, his voice smooth and calm, "You broken the shackles that you'd once been bound by."
