Description: Frustrated by his lack of progress, Sephiroth takes a break from trying to recover from the toxin still affecting his system. Mukuro manages to track down the once General and decides that now is a good time to take Sephiroth up on a previous offer.
It was late enough in the day that the park had been virtually empty for the better part of a couple of hours. The fact that the odd looking moon had hovered over them all day was just another factor to the fact that the park was devoid of others. That had been the entire reason as to why Sephiroth had sought out this area. His search through the city of any possible kishin eggs had provided to be useless, and so the ex-General had found an isolate place to attempt getting things back under his control.
What he'd confided in Cloud had only been the tip of the iceberg, and while he kept how he truly felt locked up within, Sephiroth had allowed for his blonde meister to see mere snippets of his inner thoughts. The fact that Cloud had decided to remain paired up with him was something he hadn't expected, and that odd sharp stab of fear he'd felt within had subtly drifted further away. It was a thought that kept the ex-General anchored beyond all else, but it didn't stop the fear of what had occurred while out on that battlefield a few days back.
Cat-like eyes opened at the memory of what he'd almost lost. The madness wave that had blanketed the battlefield had been unexpected, and Sephiroth felt his mind slipping from him as the wavelength grew in strength. It wasn't anything he could control, and the thought left him angry with himself as he knew his sense of control was continuously slipping from his fingers. Having his ability to transform into a weapon taken from him was bad enough, but being stripped of what shreds of sanity he had remaining only made the situation all the worse.
...it was a weakness...
Glancing down at his hand, Sephiroth's eyes narrowed dangerously as he clenched his hand into a fist. Weaknesses were something that he couldn't afford, and he would do whatever was necessary to rid himself of them. That was why he was out here in the middle of the park. His inability to control his transformation had gone on long enough, but despite his determination and attempts to work passed the block, all of his efforts seemed to be for nothing.
That was what frustrated him most of all. Nothing he tried worked, and despite Cloud's reassurances, Sephiroth couldn't help but wonder just how long it would be before he was cast aside.
