When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting
He recites softly. In the silence of the library, his voice is but an echo from a deeper part, hidden among the rows and rows of shelves of books. Some would dismiss it as some stranger simply wanting to read his readings aloud, but for perhaps a few, the voice is a hauntingly familiar one.
For some passers-by who heard it, they might have called the voice pleasant. The voice had a melodic quality to it. It was the kind of voice most people might be charmed with. It was a voice that must have belonged to the stage.
But for others, it could very well be an omen. Or a reminder of darker times-- of a time of insanity.
Nonetheless, when Genesis hears approaching footsteps, he raises his head from the thin white book and smiles at who came before him.
"What a pleasant coincidence."
