(no subject)
today while enjoying a second cup tropical twist in the air conditionedness of the great hall, i was accosted by some girl raising money for the red cross international disaster relief. sounded like a good cause. i don't think i support enough charities. so i gave her money. she gave me a tshirt. and a tax receipt to follow. good.
but then some other dude in another part of the slc eyed me as he finished trying to get some spare change out of Wasabi customers. i explained that i had already just finished with that. and then he said: "can i ask what group you got it from? (referring to my shirt)"
bah! some sort of contest.
UW apprentice, i gathered.
and i really don't know what group i supported. not that it matters, i guess. i mean, really i would have supported the ES team. but i'm fairly certain that ES never has an apprentice team. it's just not an ES thing. they are listed on the website, (last time we were outrightly forgotten) but i somehow doubt anyone is actually participating.
