Gas station...

Lemme help you out, here, (if'n you're asking for it). This was told to me by someone who'd had the same urge; see how how they dealt with it.

" I'm 30-plus (age, not size), I was willing to walk a quarter of a mile in office apparel in, most likely, inclement weather, to what I realised was the place where 17-year-old couples go to arrange their 'family planning';

- the condom dispenser in the restroom. I put my coat back on the rack."

That help? :P

It's very funny, but no. Laughter, caffiene, and chocolate are not enough.

Thank you for trying, though!

Then at least find a decent tobacconist who can sell you a nice ladie's (sadly, Dominican, not Cuban) cigarillo, so you'll go to Hell in style & good taste. Which you'll be tasting in your sn*t for the next two days afterward. Which is why, when I was into the cigar thing, I only did it every 4 to 6 weeks.

Blech! Or maybe even bleach! That's almost enough to keep me from wanting a cigarette, even!

But only almost.

I get like that sometimes. I usually just get some from co-worker because I never finish a pack before they get stale anyway.

I'm not sure who in the office still smokes. And the_original1 and I would split a pack, I'm sure, and we'd keep it in the freezer so it wouldn't go stale very quickly.

See, I have it all planned out. I even know what kind to get, since we didn't smoke the same kind, and there's no way he'd smoke mine if I could still find them around here (Capri Menthol). Camel Turkish Gold. Or maybe just straights. Yeah, that'd knock me out in half a puff.

LOL! Billy and I would never smoke the same kind either. He smokes Camel Wides. Plus, I don't smoke in front of him because he gets all mad that I'm one of "those people" that can do it/stop it whenever they want.

He asked me just last night if I thought he'd have a heart attack before he was 40. I had to respond that I'm betting on the lung cancer to get him before anything else does.

Camels have the greatest quantity of tar in them of any of the commmonly available brands. There's a recommendation in itself.

All my friends who smoke live far away. What's really bad is that now people are driving with their windows open, and every once in a while I'll catch a whiff . . . but that's all and then it's gone. Just enough to make me really want a smoke, but not enough to take care of it.

I'm still very tempted to celebrate mine (although it's not exactly been that long, that's just an estimate) by buying a pack. I'm sure I won't, as the money would be better spent in the gas tank.

When I started smoking, gas and cigarettes cost about the same. 90¢ a gallon or a pack. I really didn't want to see gas costing the same as cigarettes again, you know?

There are days I have to leave all my money at home when I leave the house because I know I'll be passing a shop that sells cigarettes. It amazes me that it still has that hold on me after seven and a third years.

I smoked Menthol too. One of my favourite parts was opening a brand new pack and sniffing the freshly-packed mint smell. First cigarette of a new pack...

...

...damn you. Damn you to the orchard of white worms.

And, back in the day, and as a non-driver, I'd often take on a four-mile walk (two there, two back) to the nearest shop to my house that sold my brand. It was special pilgrimage. Unless I got to the shop and found it closed. Then it was just an arse.

I'd give up and smoke something I could get closer to home. Or buy cartons.

Tormenting you is one of my few true pleasures, you know that, don't you?
