I think I'm just about back to normal now after the past month or so's worth of travel and shennanigans.

The Jubilee weekend was ok, though we got totally drenched on the Sunday when dancing out in Wantage. I was so proud of Miss B though, she danced out for the first time with her disco dancing group and did really well, even with the rain.

One of my challenges for this year is to do something arty - and by that I meant mucking around with paint. I've had a mental block about art ever since primary school, where I got told off for drawing trees like giant green lollipops.

Apparently, the gift for one's seventh anniversary is wool. That could explain the whole seven year itch thing...

Happy anniversary Beloved! I'd marry you again in a heartbeat (although I think I'd insist on eloping this time round!)

Nursery asked us to record what we did this weekend in her Monkeyness' home link diary, so I decided that taking a few photos wouldn't hurt, and that they'd make a good post here too.

I recently sustained my first folk-related injury...I rubbed a blister playing bodhrán at the session on Friday night.

Also on Friday night, I sang a song that I'd listened to a maximum of 6 times before, four of which were in the 2 hours before going to the session. (Well, it is very catchy)
