A Blast of Winter
A major storm walloped Ottawa this weekend. The first blast on Friday brought a mere 17 cm, while last night's storm brought over 40 cm of snow. Given the treacherous conditions yesterday I wasn't able to go out birdwatching, and given the deep snow today I'm not sure I'll be able to get out of my driveway, let alone onto the trails! Just for fun, here are some photos taken first thing this morning of my yard and neighbourhood.

Photos of my backyard. The wind has blown the snow drifts up against the fence, nearly burying my bird feeder. My patio table is now completely buried.
