Heed My Warnings (2/2)

Jan 17, 2015 10:42

“You look awfully happy these days,” Joonmyun says as he places a yellow envelope on Kyungsoo’s desk. The latter only smiles and hums in response as he picks it up and open it.

“A date?” Joonmyun inquires a bit with curiosity.

“Stop being nosy,” Kyungsoo says as he laughs in response and shoos his secretary away.

Kai enters the cafe and sees Kyungsoo sitting patiently in the far corner of the small shop, waiting for him as a waiter is standing beside him, waiting to take their order. Kai slides himself in the seat in front of the elder and puts on a stern look.

“You know you can’t keep meeting up with me like this? It isn’t safe.” Kai says as he sits across Kyungsoo in a cafe, not too far from the latter’s work place.

The latter dismisses what Kai says and gives the waiter his order. He turns around to look at Kai and frowns, “You keep telling me that but you don’t even have a reason as to why I should not meet you so I can care less. And I’m an adult, I can take care of myself perfectly fine.”

Kai snorts at the man’s response, “If you say so.”

“I’m being serious,” Kyungsoo retorts, kicking Kai under the table.

“What the hell?”

Kyungsoo shrugs in response, acting as if he doesn’t know what happened.

The younger of the two gets up, ready to leave. “Look Kyungsoo. I know it has become habitual for you to follow after me and then hang out with me, and although I’m flattered you find me as such an interesting person that you would hang out with me, you need to stop. I’m telling you this isn’t good for you. You aren’t safe.”

Kyungsoo slams his fist on the table, annoyed. “I’m really tired of you telling me I’m not safe, when I am perfectly safe and sound right now and can take perfectly care of my own self. Unless you give me a reasonable answer, I refuse to listen.”

Kai grabs a hold of Kyungsoo’s wrist and jerks the guy off his seat. Kyungsoo doesn’t fight back as he lets Kai drag him out of the cafe and away towards the direction of his apartment.

The owner of the apartment fumbles with his key as he tries opening the door to his apart. Kai flings the door open as soon as it’s unlock and throws Kyungsoo onto the couch in his living room. The guy walks over to the bookshelf on the wall and grabs one of the few books on it. Kyungsoo watches as the guy flips through the pages of what looks like a photo album and then stops on one particular section. He then walks over to Kyungsoo and throws the book out in front of Kyungsoo and doesn’t say anything. The elder takes a look at it and grabs the only photo that is on that page and his eye expands in puzzlement. On the photo is two younger boys with arms around each other that looks a lot like himself and Jongin. His eyebrows furrow as he looks up at Kai questioningly.

“What is this?” Kyungsoo asks confusingly.

“It’s you and me.” Kai replies back emotionlessly.

“What?” The petite male whispers to himself. “But that’s….Jongin….you’re Kai….”

“Correct! So you need to leave!” Kai says, not letting Kyungsoo finish processing the thoughts that are running through his head as he grabs onto Kyungsoo risk once more and opens the door to his apartment, kicking the latter out as he slams the door shut.

Kyungsoo stands outside the door of Kai’s apartment, dumbfounded by the event that just happened. Thoughts and questions that need to be answered continue to intrude his brain and run through his head. What was going on? Jongin isn’t dead? Jongin was alive all of this time? Kai is Jongin? This didn’t make sense at all. Not one bit. Kyungsoo needed an answer. Kyungsoo wanted an answer. And Kyungsoo wasn’t going to leave until he got one.

The petite male snaps out of his trance and pounds fiercely on the door, demanding to be let inside once more, into the place that he was just thrown out of.

“Kai, open the door! Let me in!” The elder shouts, consistently pounding his balled up fist against the wooden door. Tears forms up from frustration as they become present on the rim of his eyelid, threatening to fall down. “Let me in Kai! Open up and let me in!”

Kyungsoo lets the tears drop as the ball of his fists loosen. He lets his hands fall down to his side and presses his face against the door and then raises one hand up to caress the door gently. The tears doesn’t fade away as Kyungsoo strangles to get a sound out, “Jongin….please….I’m begging you….let me in….”

The man’s sobs gets quieter as he closes his eyes. Unexpectedly, the door slowly opens, jerking and surprising the man from his position as he falls into the arms of the man he was calling out for.

“Jong-I mean….Kai!” Kyungsoo cries out as he looks up at the younger man with watery eyes.

The man looks down at Kyungsoo and gives the elder a light smile. “Jongin is fine, Kyungsoo. Jongin is perfectly fine.”

Kyungsoo sits down on the couch and examines the guy in front of him, one arm cross with the other as one hand is brought to his face, a frown fixed on that face as he walks back and forth, lost in deep thoughts.

The petite man is hesitant to speak. He had always been the one to take the initiative, but this time was different. It’s been seven years. Seven years since Jongin’s “death,” many things has changed since then, especially the person standing in front of him. The Jongin in front of him was different. He was cold, he was harsh, and had a mind of his own now. He wasn’t Kyungsoo’s anymore. He was his own person now. After all, he was Kim Kai now. But yet, the person in form was still the man Kyungsoo had always loved.

He looks up at the man with determination in his eyes and casts all thoughts aside to speak up. “I-”

“You’re probably wondering what, how and why right?” Kai asks, interrupting the older man as he proceeds toward Kyungsoo and takes a seat on the couch. “Why am I still alive? How am I still alive? What have I been doing all these years, hiding away? Hiding away from your family, hiding away from you and everything that has to do with you….But I had my reason Kyungsoo. I had to get away. I had to stay away from you, even if that meant I could only watch you from afar, could only care for you in secret, I had to.”

“I only wanted you to be safe. I only wanted what was best for you. What was best for us both.”

The male looks at Kai, confusingly. “What do you mean?”

Kai closes his eyes and lets out a breath. “You can’t stay with me, Kyungsoo. You’re not safe with me. As long as we’re together, you’re not safe here. You need to go back. Back to where you belong. And most of all….”

The younger man pauses as he grabs a hold of Kyungsoo’s hands, “You need to stop looking for me.”

Kyungsoo sits there quietly as he stares at the younger man.

“Why?” He asks so despairingly. Kyungsoo’s eyes darkens as his gaze becomes piercingly aggressive as the tone of his voice gets rough. “Why should I
stay away from you? Why do you want me to stay away from you? Jongin, I don’t get it! Who the hell have I been crying to buried underneath your supposed grave all these years then? Am I supposed to go back to doing that? Crying over someone who isn't dead? That it isn't you? That these tears were in vain? That you’ve been alive all these seven years? You’re not even telling me the how’s, the what’s, or the why’s? You had your reason but what reasons?!”

“Kyungsoo….” Kai begins as he watches the man before him stand up in a hostile position.

“I want to know how. I want to know what. I want to know why.” Kyungsoo pleads, dropping down onto his knees, weakening himself. “Why did you hide yourself from me for so long? Why did you do this? You’re so cruel, Jongin. You’re so cruel. I love you so much, Jongin! You knew how much I’ve always lo-”

An unexpected knock coming from the door to Kai’s apartment interrupts Kyungsoo, surprisingly the two as both of their heads whip to the direction of the door. The latter quickly turns his attention to Kai, but the owner of the apartment doesn’t say anything. Instead, his eyes solidifies as his gaze pierces at the door. In a swift motion, he grabs a hold of Kyungsoo’s arms and vigorously pulls the man up with him.

“Jongin, what’s going on?” Kyungsoo asks, wincing at the belligerent hold of Kai’s as the latter’s eyes never cease to leave the door.

“I need you to leave.” Kai commands, his voice cold and unfamiliar to the elder as he begins to drag Kyungsoo towards the door of the apartment.

“Why?” Kyungsoo demands back, jerking his arms away from Kai’s grasps. “Not after this! I can’t lose you again, Jongin! Why do you want me to leave so bad? Is it something I did? Tell me what it is and I will fix it!”

The banging on the door resonates through the apartment once more causing Kai to grab one of Kyungsoo’s arms with no mercy and slam him against the wall, “You want to know why? You want to know why I need and want you to stay away from me? It’s because of your mother. Your family. It’s because of you. Every little thing that has to do with you. I can’t do this anymore Kyungsoo. I can’t! Your mother was after my ass because of you, because I couldn’t tell her no, because I was selfish, because I couldn’t let you go! Your mother wanted me dead! She wanted me out of the way! We aren’t of the same family background! How the hell would a commoner like me fit in with someone of wealth like you?!”

Kai slams his hand against the wall as he slumps his shoulders down, breaking his barrier as his places his head on Kyungsoo’s shoulder. “So I had to do it. I had to stage my death. I had to fake it so your mother would be happy. I had to cut ties with you for the both of us. I had to act as if Kim Jongin never exist, as if Do Kyungsoo never did too. I know how you are Kyungsoo….only I have to go, you don’t have to go. Only I should die….not you. It’s better this way Kyungsoo….for the both of us. We aren't meant to be."

Kyungsoo stands there, fazed by what the younger had just told him. He balls his hands up into fists and pushes Kai aside, looking at the man with a serious face.

“Who told you to?” He asks coldly.

“Who told you to decide what was right for us both?” Kyungsoo yells at the top of his lungs only to be interrupted by the sound of the door, barricading the outside world and Kai’s apartment, breaking down. He hears familiar voices calling out his name from the distant and his eyes widen in fear, looking up at Kai.

The person in view before Kyungsoo is unexpected though. Before him stands someone different. The person before him wasn’t Jongin anymore. The overbearing, cold demeanor in front of him belong to someone else. This time, the person was Kai.

The short moment is interrupted as a few tall strangers dressed in black along with Kyungsoo’s butler comes into sight, confusing the latter as he has no idea to what is going on. Without hesitating, Kai aggressively seizes hold of the elder’s arm once more and drags him past the three males towards the door of the apartment.

“Mister Kim,” Kyungsoo could hear his butler shouting in an authoritative voice from behind. “I need you to let the boy go!”

Kai dismisses the order as he opens the door, harshly shoving Kyungsoo outside, “Leave!”

The elder refuses, however, as he puts up a stance, grabbing onto the wall before the younger man can close the door shut on him. Kyungsoo doesn’t get to say anything as he watches Kai struggle in the hold of the three strangers dressed in black, watches as he struggles to break free in their grasps, thrashing, kicking but only yelling at Kyungsoo.

“I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE, KYUNGSOO!” Kai shouts at the top of his lung as he watches the butler and rest of the man runs to Kyungsoo’s side, holding onto the lad. “IT’S NOT SAFE HERE! YOU’RE NOT SAFE HERE! AS LONG AS YOU’RE WITH ME KYUNGSOO, YOUR MOTH-”

Kyungsoo doesn’t get a chance to hear the rest of Kai’s sentences as he watches the man gets hit on the back of his head. He watches as Kai begins to sway and slowly stops putting up a fight. Kyungsoo watches as Kai’s eyes roll back, as his eyelids begin to flutter shut.

He begins to struggle out of the hold of the other men as he tries to break free from their hold. “Let me go!”

“I’m sorry sir,” The butler says as he motions for the other man to continue keeping Kyungsoo in their clutch. He looks over to one of the man and motion his head sideway, signaling one of the men in black to take action. Kyungsoo watches as they begin to drag Kai away, and fights even more to be freed.

“Let me go!” Kyungsoo shouts at them as he tries flinging himself towards Kai.

“What are you doing to him? Where are you taking him? Let him go! Don’t touch-” Kyungsoo begins, but is cut off as he feels an impact on the back of his head. His vision begins to blacken and the last thing he sees is the younger man being dragged out the door of his own apartment.

+ + + + +

Kyungsoo wakes up to see his butler hovering over him. The guy quickly charges forward and grabs his butler by the collar. The tone in his voice is hostile as he throws question at the servant, “You knew about this didn’t you? Tell me what is going on! Where is Jongin? What did you do to him?!”

His servant doesn’t budge and keeps a calm demeanor and shakes Kyungsoo’s hands off his collar.

The petite male brings his hands back up to his butler’s collars and glares. His butler sighs and gently removes the hands once more. “I’m sure Jongin has told you about Madam, but she is my boss before you so I can’t refuse any order she gives me, even if it means to get rid of Jongin. Dead or alive. She is your mother after all, she only cares for you and wants the best for you. But I know….I know she doesn’t understand you….for all these years, she still hasn’t understood you. That’s why I couldn’t let history repeat itself. I had to intervene. Everything I do is for the both of you, Kyungsoo. For both of yours and Jongin’s happiness.”

Kyungsoo pauses and then replies, “Then….earlier….where….is Jongin?” His butler doesn’t respond as he marches towards the door to leave the room. Kyungsoo panics as he shoots up in the bed desperately. “I asked where Jongin is!” He doesn’t get an answer though and only watches as his butler closes the door to the room, leaving the young man to himself. Kyungsoo gets off the bed and makes a dash for the door, but trips.

“Jongin?” Kyungsoo quietly inquires to no one in particular as he looks at the man on the ground, soundlessly sleeping away. “Jongin wake up!

Kyungsoo sits there and watches as Kai flutters his eyes open, grasping in his surrounding.

“Jongin!” Kyungsoo cries the name out once more and cradles him.

“K-Kyungsoo?” Kai asks, confuse as to what is going on. “What’s going on….Why are you crying?”

Kyungsoo only replies in sobbing cries as he apologizes, “I’m sorry, Jongin. I’m really sorry. I’m sorry for everything!”

“Goddamnit Kyungsoo,” Kai yells, squeezing his eyes shut to block out the pain. He pulls the elder close to him, enclosing Kyungsoo into a tight hug, too afraid to let the latter go, not knowing what can happen. “I told you to leave didn’t I? I told you to stay away. To stay away from me. Do you ever listen?”

Kyungsoo shakes his head in Kai's holds as he hugs the man back even tighter, not wanting to let go. “I can’t. I can’t stay away from you. I will never. I can never.”

The younger man lays there never letting go of the man in his embrace and smiles to himself. He brings his hand to Kyungsoo’s dark hair and begins to stroke it, running his hand through the raven lock. “You’re so silly, Kyungsoo. Even after all these years, you haven’t change.”

The petite male pushes himself away from the hold of the taller and looks up at the guy, tears present in those beady eyes of his. “What do you mean?”

Kai closes his eyes and smile. “Even after all these years, you’re still the same old Do Kyungsoo I’ve always knew. You’re still so crazy about this guy Kim Jongin who has died seven years ago. I am Kim Kai now. But you’re still the kid who was so foolishly in love with Kim Jongin. The selfish Kyungsoo who only thinks about himself, who only knows what he wants and only cares about his own need. It was always about you, Kyungsoo.”

Kyungsoo’s eyebrows furrows, looking hurt by Kai’s accusation because, yes, he knew the young lad was right, but never had he once thought the man he has always loved would be the one to tell him those exact words. Those exact words that hurt him to this very day. Those exact words that he has always told himself. He backs away from Kai’s grasps, demeanor turning cold and hurt by the young man.

However, Kai stops the petite male as he grabs a hold of Kyungsoo’s wrists and pulls the male into a hug once more. “And I thank you for that, for being so selfish. For caring only about yourself, your own needs and wants. Thank you Kyungsoo, for always loving this good for nothing person. Maybe I was always selfish too for sticking beside you, for putting up with you. I didn’t care if I was putting your own needs before mine because seeing you happy was all I ever wanted. Because seeing you happy meant the world to me; satisfying and serving you because I wanted to spend every single day, every single minute, second, every single moment with you. Because, I had always and will always be in love with you. You’re everything to me, Kyungsoo. You mean so-”

-much to me, Kai never gets to finish as Kyungsoo reaches his hands down to fondle the taller man’s face. The petite male’s locks his eyes with Kai’s as he moves his hands towards the latter’s lips, brushing his thumbs against Kai’s lips. Kyungsoo inhales a deep breath at the sight of the man before him and exhale it as he continues thumbing the contour of Kai's plump flesh. “You’ve always loved me?”

Kai doesn’t say anything, but only hums in response as he lets the sound of Kyungsoo’s voice resonate in his head.

“Jongin,” Kyungsoo says as he moves his hands away from Kai’s face, sounding hurt. “How come you’ve never told me?”

“I-” the younger man starts but is interrupted by the older man.

“Tell me,” Kyungsoo whines desperately. “Tell me you love me.”

“I…” Kai begins as he stares at Kyungsoo’s pleading face.

“Kyungsoo, I love you.” Kai tells the older man as he dips his face up and pulls Kyungsoo into a kiss, locking their lips together as he wallows them both in ecstasy.

He pulls away to take a breath as he looks as the man below him, with bruised lips. Kai thumbs Kyungsoo’s rosy pink lips as he continues to breathe unevenly and locks his eyes with the latter’s. He can see the longing in Kyungsoo’s eyes, pleading for more, making Kai feel weak. He moves his face closer to Kyungsoo’s once more and touches the latter’s nose with his own. Kai sweeps his lips down and captures Kyungsoo’s with his, moving their lips in perfect rhythmic motion, pacing them back and forth with one another.

He doesn’t want to let go. Never. However, all good things eventually come to an end. Kai backs away once more to end the kiss, but is startled when a longing Kyungsoo pulls him back into the kiss.

This kiss is different however. This time is rough. This time is needy. This time is desperate.

Kyungsoo doesn’t want to let the man go at all.

He nibbles on Kai's lips and whispers into the kiss, imploring the younger male. “Do you know how much I love you, Jongin? I love you a lot, Jongin. I love you so much.”

Kai sighs into the kiss and let’s Kyungsoo take control once more, before the latter pulls away to stare at him. Kai gives Kyungsoo a weak smile and pulls him into a hug.

“I know, Kyungsoo. I know." Kai responds, sadness present in his tone of voice. He caresses the man's back, and holds the male tightly and desperately in his embrace. Kai's voice weakens as he tries to fight back the incoming tears, “But all happiness must come to an end eventually......It’s time you wake up, Kyungsoo.”

+ + + + +

“Are you finally awake?” A monotonous voice asks out loud as he sees the lad stir.

Kyungsoo sits up in his bed as he looks up to his side and sees a stranger standing along the wall of the room. He makes a face of confusion as he stares at the old man. “Who are you?”

“Who am I?” The person responds. “I’m your doctor, Kyungsoo.”

“Doctor?” Kyungsoo asks back, surprise.

He furrows his eyebrows and gives the man a hard glare. His eyes widen and his attention gets averted as he sees past the stranger. Kyungsoo notices as the walls are nothing but white barriers. He notices that the only object in this room is the bed he is lying on. He never stops scanning and examining the room, desperately trying to look for something. Something to keep him sane. He tries to look for a way of escape but can’t. There is only a window at the very top of the wall and his only way out was block by the person who had claimed to be his doctor.

This is all a dream, he tells himself as he closes his eyes shut tight. This was all a bad dream wasn't it?

“No,” the old man says, as if he could read Kyungsoo's mind. "This, happening right now, isn't dream."

Kyungsoo ignores him though. He grabs his head and plunges himself into the bed, trying to block everything out from view.

“Kyungsoo,” the old man’s voice calls out as he comes closer.

“Go away!” Kyungsoo as he shouts back refusing to listen any further, face still buried within the mattress.

He jumps as he feels a cold hand on his back and lashes out at the doctor, grabbing the man by his collar as he pushes the man against the nearest wall. Suddenly the door to his room is kicked open as a few more men dressed in the same pristine, white outfit the claimed doctor is in burst in and lunge towards Kyungsoo, grabbing the petite male by the arms and prying him away from the doctor.

“Are you okay?” One of the men asks as he rushes to the doctor’s side receiving only a raise hand in response.

The doctor moves away from the wall and walks toward Kyungsoo who has now been pinned onto the ground by the other men. The doctor crouches down as he examines the lad before him. He looks at latter’s face and sighs to himself as he sees dark circles under the boy’s eye bags. He looks at the dishevel hair and the anger on the boys face as he sees visible wrinkles on the boy’s face.

“Kyungsoo,” the doctor begins, causing the lad to hiss in response as he struggles to break free from the men holding him. “Can you tell me about Jongin?”

Kyungsoo stops putting up a fight and gives the doctor a perplex look. “Who….?”

“Jongin,” the doctor repeats himself once more.

“Jongin….” Kyungsoo says the name to himself. The name sounded familiar but Kyungsoo wasn’t sure who the doctor was talking about. “Who’s Jongin….?”

The doctor heaves a sigh in defeat as he gets up from his crouching position. He motions for the men to let Kyungsoo go as he tells them to leave the room. The doctor takes one more look at the baffle lad and walks towards the exit of the room. As he comes out of the room, he sees a woman not much older than him looking with worry in her eyes. He motions for the other men to lock the door as he walks towards the elder woman.

“H-how….is….he?” She asks, voice faltering in concern.

The man shakes his head in response and grunts, “No progress Madam. It's useless.”

“No progress?! Useless?!” She exclaims back as she latches desperately onto the doctor’s arms. “No, sir! You don’t understand! Please help my son!”

The doctor roughly shakes her hands off of him, disgusted by the turn of event. “There’s nothing I can do if your son refuses to cooperate,” the doctor says in a cold tone as he walks away, leaving the woman to stand there and watch.

He didn’t pity the woman. He had no sympathy and tolerance for someone who took constant control of their children’s lives. He also had no mercy for murderers. And whether the lad was claimed to be one or not, that was something he, himself, would have to find out. The doctor turns back around to look at the mother standing there and then at the door to his patience room. He doesn’t say anything and continues walking away.

Kyungsoo sits there on the ground as he lets the doctor’s question repeats in his head.

Can you tell me about Jongin?

But who was Jongin? He didn’t know who Jongin was. This person, whomever he may be. Doctors are suppose to help you are they not? They’re suppose to make you feel better. So doesn’t that mean doctors are suppose to ask you questions that makes sense? Questions that could help them fix you? Not some unusual questions like that. Some questions that wasn’t even remotely relevant to Kyungsoo. Why would the doctor even ask him a question about a name he didn’t even know who it belong to?

Feeling defeated by the questions running through his mind, he heads over to the bed. Perhaps sleeping it off would make him feel better. As Kyungsoo lifts the blanket off the bed, he is taken aback and slowly falls onto the ground. Lying there on the bed is a photo he doesn’t remember having in his possession yet it was powerful enough to have an effect on him.

“Jongin,” he murmurs to himself as memories begins to flow back into his brain.

Kyungsoo sits at the base of his father’s grave and looks at the boy before him, mesmerized by those eyes of his. He looks in awe at the face of the boy talking about his father. He listens as the boy talks nonstop. Nothing negative falls out of his mouth. He only praises the man. He only looks up to the man. He only has respect for the man. Kyungsoo can’t help, but be captivated by a kid of the same age talking about someone who he respects, someone he looks up to, someone he wants to be like.

The boy gives Kyungsoo a cheeky smile and ruffles his hair, “Don’t cry anymore okay?”

Kyungsoo only nods in response as he wipes his tears away.

-

“He’s beautiful,” a rich-like honey voice says in response as he looks up at his butler.

“Kyungsoo,” his butler says in a nagging tone, displease at what the fourteen year old boy had just told him. “I don’t care if he’s beautiful or not. You know you’re not suppose to associate yourself with people like that. Madam would never approve.”

“Well, I don’t care if Mother approves of him or not,” Kyungsoo tells his butler as he squeals to himself on his bed. “I like him and that’s all that matters.”

-

“I like you!” Kyungsoo yells at the other boy. “I’ve been watching you for a long time, and I really like you!”

The boy stares at the lad in front of him and bows in response as he quickly walks away.

“Wait!” Kyungsoo shouts as he runs to catch up.

“Stay away from me!” The other boy hisses.

“Why?” Kyungsoo asks desperately, grabbing the boy’s arm to stop him from leaving.

The boy jerk his arm free from Kyungsoo’s hold and turns around to look at Kyungsoo dead in the eyes. “Stay….away….from….me….”

-

“I told you to stay away from me, why don’t you ever listen?” The boy with sun-kissed tan yells at the lad standing before him.

“I….It’s because….I like you,” Kyungsoo says, with fear in his eyes.

“I don’t care if you like me or not! I don’t like you! You don’t even know anything about me!”

“I know your name. You’re Kim Jongin. And even if I know nothing about you….I would like to….”

Jongin rolls his eyes as he storms off, mumbling ‘whatever,’ not bothering to yell at Kyungsoo who follows after him.

The lad slowly reaches out for the photo and stares at it. He looks at the photograph and sees two boys dress in white collar, pristine dress shirts with their arms wrapped around one another. His eyes pierce at the shorter of the two with a bowl cut. The boy’s eyes are of crescent moon as he flashes white pearly teeth showing a heart shape smile as he has his arms around the other’s waist. The kid looks oddly familiar and Kyungsoo wonders who it might be. His eyes moves along to look at the taller of the two boys who has his arm wrapped around the shorter one’s shoulders and his face petrifies. There, he sees a boy with dark hair who’s showing a pearlescent smile as his eyes are form into a smile so bright as his sun-kiss tan radiates and glows in complementary contrast.

Kyungsoo’s thumbs side of the picture with the boy without realizing it. He sits there as a teardrop falls onto the picture. Kyungsoo sets the picture aside onto the floor as he buries his face into the palm of his hand.

“Jongin.” He says once more as buries his face into his hands. “I remember you. I remember it. I remember what happened. I remember it all.”

“Do you believe in love at first sight?” Kyungsoo asks Jongin as stares up into the night sky, looking at the man he’s known to love for all these years.

Jongin only shrugs in response as he doesn’t say anything.

“Asshole,” Kyungsoo says as he frowns and punching the younger one’s arms.

Jongin looks over and makes a face at Kyungsoo, but then smile before reaching over to the latter till his lips are only a centimeter away from Kyungsoo’s.

“No,” he says, chuckling as he backs away.

Kyungsoo gives the male a stare and then gets up, clearly upset at Jongin’s answer. “I’m leaving.”

Jongin grabs a hold of Kyungsoo’s hands and stops him, “But that doesn’t mean I wasn’t infatuated by you. Kyungsoo you’re beautiful, do you know that? Your….smile is charming. Your….eyes are captivating. You are so….nice….yeah you’re kind of annoying, you know that, but like….you know….mmm….like….your voice….and your lips….and god, your body….and….”

The younger male stops and looks up at Kyungsoo who has frozen and let’s his hand goes, burying his face in embarrassment, “Oh what the hell am I trying to say here? I’m not even that great with words, you know that.”

Kyungsoo snaps back into reality and crouches down in front of Jongin, he removes the latter’s hands from his face and stares at him. “What about me? My smile? My eyes….my voice….my lips….and my body….?”

“I….” Jongin starts but doesn’t finish as he is memorize by Kyungsoo’s beauty in front of him.

He stares at the elder fair face under the starlit night sky in awe. He watches as those deep brown orbs gently dilates, as those rosy lips moves themselves closer and closer to him. Jongin gulps his spit as the distance between them both lessens. As they came closer, Jongin can feel the heat of Kyungsoo’s breath against his skin. He could feel as Kyungsoo’s hands snake themselves on his body, holding grip onto his thighs as the latter brought himself closer and closer to Jongin. He could feel the beat of his heart racing as Kyungsoo’s red luscious lips are only centimeters away.

His heart stops momentarily when the elder places those lips on top of him, kissing him passionately. Jongin responds back by deepening the kiss, not wanting to let go. Not wanting to end the moment. But a voice continues to echo in the back of his mind. A voice continues to make it’s way to the front, telling Jongin to stop. Telling Jongin this was dangerous. This was bad. Jongin pulls back and catches his breath, looks at the male in front of him with bruised lips, with longing eyes of continuing their kiss. Jongin looks away however. Those eyes always made him weak. He shoves Kyungsoo off with no mercy and stands up to his feet and begins walking away without any words said.

“Jongin!” Kyungsoo cries out as he gets up and runs after him.

“Kyungsoo,” Jongin begins in a darkened voice. “We can’t do this anymore.”

“Why?” The elder cries out. “Is it because of me? It’s been four years Jongin!”

“Kyungsoo, please….” Jongin says in pain.

“Why Jongin?! Give me a valid reason!”

“We’re both from different worlds. You’re rich. I’m poor. We can’t be together. You have to let me go Kyungsoo.”

Kyungsoo stays silent as he ball his hands up into fists and punches Jongin’s chest repeatedly, “Why should that matter? As long as we love-”

“It’s not a matter of love Kyungsoo! As long as you’re with me, you aren’t safe! As long as you’re with me, your mother will do everything to control your life!”

“No! We can talk to her! She will understand!”

Jongin grabs a hold of Kyungsoo’s wrists and tightens his grasps around the elder’s wrist, “What are you, five?! It doesn’t work like that! Wake up, Kyungsoo!”

“Jongin!” Kyungsoo yells as someone comes from behind in the dark and hits the guy on the head and watches him fall down as he feels hands rushing to grab him by the arms.

“Let me go!” He yells and makes a run for Jongin whose head was now bleeding from the impact. Tears threaten to fall out of Kyungsoo’s eyes as he cradles Jongin, “Hold on! I’m going to get you help!”

He hears his name being call as hands are grabbing a hold of him again, pulling him away from Jongin as he watches the latter slides off him onto the ground with a loud impact. He screams to be release once more, shouting out Jongin’s name. Kyungsoo gets drag into a car and watches as Jongin lies on the ground, bleeding profusely in the dark, cold night before being knocked out.

Kyungsoo slowly enters the funeral home with guards on each sides and watches as everyone turns around to stare at him. Whispers and gossips are pass among many mourners as they stare at Kyungsoo with disgust and hate. The lad doesn’t look at anyone in the eyes. He couldn’t as he does his best to ignore them, not letting the words impact him and holding back any tears that threatens to fall down. Kyungsoo’s act falls short when he sees a short woman around the same age as his mother turns around to look at him with swollen eyes.

She runs towards Kyungsoo and grabs onto his suit jacket, tears spilling from her eyes. “What are you doing here?! You selfish monster! You killed my son you, rich bastard! Give me back my son!”

He doesn’t do anything or say anything as the woman continues to cry. He doesn’t tell his workers to stop as they try to pry the woman away. Kyungsoo stands there and takes it all in; every little single words that come out from her mouth. He couldn’t refute. After all, what she said was right.

“It was all my fault,” Kyungsoo says as he picks the photo up and tears it to pieces and crawls back into bed, pulling the cover over him.

“Are you awake?” The doctor asks Kyungsoo.

“Yes,” Kyungsoo replies, sitting straight up on the bed.

“Let’s try this again then….” He begins as he glimpses at the shredded paper on the ground before looking at Kyungsoo in the eyes. “Can you tell me about Jongin?”

Kyungsoo sits there quietly as he stares off into space and then turns his head to look back at the doctor, furrowing his eyebrows. “Who is Jongin?”
