SNOW!!!

Time to give an update! I shall start with recent history. I have not worked since the fourth of this month! That's almost a week so far, and it's lookin' like I won't be able to work today either. This is, of course, due to this massive metric fuck-ton of snow that we have gotten in the past week or so. Now for people who get paid to not work due to snow, that's great. You do that with glee, and I'm happy for you. For me though, if I'm not working, I get no pay. Therefore, this snow is actually kind of killing me because I was depending on this snow to live during my adventure! I'm pretty sure that I can still manage but I'll just have less money.

Now don't get me wrong, I do love the snow. Hell, it's quite an enjoyable substance. It's just buttin' in on my groove is all. Now you're prolly wonderin' what I'm doing with all this spare time handed to me by the snow. I'll give you a hint: It's exactly what I do when I have spare time and no people around. That's right! I've played lots of video games, watched Ranma 1/2, and read some of the new book I just got a few weeks ago called Sasha, which is turning out to be a pretty good read.

That reminds me. Some time ago there was a sort of Indie game making contest called the Assemblee Contest, and as a result, some pretty good Indie games got made that I checked out with all of my spare time. Here's a link to the results of the contest:

And here's a link to the game I liked the most called Dungeons of Fayte:

It's this surprisingly fun multiplayer rpg sim game where you can play with up to four people to train within four months to defeat the Bone Lord that's going to destroy the village. It's pulled off extraordinarily well, so I'd recommend giving it a try, especially if you can get someone else in on the action.

So that's what I've been doing with my time. In the past month, I also decided to try to teach myself sign language since I actually like it. The only problem is I don't have anyone to actually use it with and I get lazy sometimes. Therefore it's kind of difficult to apply my learning. It's still fun though!

In other news, I have about a month left until I leave forever (or about 4-6 months). I know that I'm going to miss everyone, but, at the same time, I really want to go on this adventure. I've got everything I need now, and as soon as this snow lets up, I'll continue my training of readiness, though I could potentially leave now I as I am. My bike is one sexy beast, and she has a name now too, in case I didn't tell anyone. Her name is Lenneth. Mostly named after the Valkyrie from Valkyrie Profile, which is a great game. You should play it if you haven't already, assuming you can find the game.

Alright, last note I feel like talking about before I post this up. I sure had fun last night. I got myself sorta sloppy drunk for fun and started talking to lots of people on the internet and phone. It was great fun and I woke up with lots of notes to remind myself of what I did. As in, I wrote them down so I wouldn't forget. I didn't get to the point of blacking out mind you, but sometimes there are things that just slip out of memory. And that gives me the great idea of keeping a memo pad or something with me when I get drunk just in case I forget things. I'll write them down! Or other people will in case I can't write at the time. It'll be great!

Okay, have fun everyone! Enjoy your metric fuck-tons of snow! Except Kat!
