bonjour de bruxelles!

Hi everyone!

This keyboard is actually the crappiest thing I have ever seen so I"ll try to keep it short.

Yesterday after Cilla and Manon left, Sarah, Jess and I went on a cruise through the Amsterdam Canals. It was sooo pretty cause it happened right when the sun set so that was cool. We also got to see the Red Light District because we were too scared to walk into it, hahaha.

Then we decided to check out the Amsterdam nightlife but the bar the Let's go guide recommended looked way fancier than we were dressed so we went to this other place and had a drink. It was fun!

Today in the morning, after breakfast, we went to the train station to take the train to Brussels. That wasn't too hard. Finding our hostel was, though. We walked all the way from the train station to the Grand Place where the tourist information was just to find out where to go because the street the hostel is on only has two houses so it's not indicated on ANY maps!! EVIL!

Still at the train station, I made reservations for the Thalys train tomorrow and first the person working at the station was like "I don't think we have any spots left for tomorrow anymore." :o I was so fucking shocked, like, seriously! But then we got some, only 5 hours later than we'd planned so we still have a half day in Brussels tomorrow.

When we finally found the hostel and checked in, we went to see the Grand Place (google it,it's SOOO pretty!) and the Manneken Pis, obviously. We then went to a park and lay down in the grass and listened to music.
We then went to get a proper dinner at a proper restaurant (cause we've lived off Pizza, sandwiches and Chinese takeout the past 2 days) and I was sooo full, I thought I was going to be sick. The food was awesome though.
Anyway... we walked to the Royal Palace and it was seriously awesomely pretty.

Brussels is a very underrated city I think. While there isn't too much to see, the city itself is SO pretty and you can just like wander around the city for 3 hours.

Before we got back to the hostel, we stopped to have a Belgian Waffle, soooooo good! :)

Anyway, I don't know if I'll be able to update from Paris cause I don't think Etap Hotels have internet access, but I guess we'll see. I'll try, in any case, because this is my traveler's blog at the same time as I don't have the time to write two.
