I'm in Nanjing right now, visting the extended family of my 奶奶 (Nainai, or my father's mom). My immediate family (mom, dad, Goosey, grandpa, and two grandmas) traveled here via semi-bullet train on Friday morning at noon. apparently china recently changed their electrical output to be more compatible with western gadgets, but some of the plugs are still a different shape from ours.

so, our dad managed to confuse the hell out of my mom by asking for an adapter with

"two prongs in, three prongs out."
