With a creasy look in her eyes and a loud scream, Myung Hee tried to attack him! But, she didn’t expected JunSu to be there, he could clearly SEE the look in her eyes when JunSu stood suddenly before her and blocked her way so that she wasn’t able to come near them. “DON’T TOUCH THE HUMAN BOY AND JAEJOONG!” Hissed JunSu with a angry look in his eyes. He was ready to kill and everybody could clearly see it! Jinhee stopped and looked furious at them. “Don’t interfere with this and LEAVE! The boy is mine and I will NOT leave this place without him!” Myung Hee screamed and while she spoke he felt… really scared! He was now in real trouble, JaeJoong was in pain and would die if he wouldn’t start with the ritual within now and a few minutes, and this girl, Myung Hee had already tried to kill him before! But how as it possible that she was here? JunSu had taken care of her, so why was she here? And what would he do if the two vampires were going to fight? He wasn’t able to do this alone, to protect JaeJoong from the two vampires AND to do the ritual, all at the same moment and with so much danger! This was insane!
But what JunSu next said was really shocking him. “YOU STUPID GIRL! WHO DO YOU THINK THAT I AM? THIS BOY-” JunSu pointed at YunHo but didn’t looked at him, he kept his attention to Myung Hee, “-IS MY RELATIVE! AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT IT THAT SOMEBODY IS HURTING MY RALATIVES!” JunSu shouted at Myung Hee and looked now even furious as the girl, maybe even MORE furious than she! But… what had he just said? Was he… YunHo stared with his eyes wide from the shock at the two vampires and started to feel lightheaded from all what was happening around him… He started to shiver, this was too much, all those things, all the danger, the fear, the worry… it was now almost too much for him to handle and he wasn’t sure if he could do it now, he needed to do it but he… He just felt so stressed about almost everything! But at that moment he heard how JaeJoong moaned, maybe from the pain? Of just because he was… dying?! “No, no, no, no…. Nooooo!” He was now really panicking and KNEW that he needed to do something to help his mate! To safe him and to take care of him! He needed to do it NOW!
He looked around him, hoping that he could sneak away with JaeJoong but Myung Hee stood in the middle of the doorway so there was no way for him to leave this room and even this house if that was possible, just to go to a safe place but, only the window could be opened, but he wasn’t as strong as a vampire and he KNEW that JaeJoong could not help him, so escaping through the window was no option..! He looked at JaeJoong’s face and saw that he was in pain and that he now really needed help, he had no time to wait any longer, it the vampires were going to fight or not, he NEEDED to do it! He took the knife again in his hand, took a deep breath and… “WAIT!” He heard how a lot things happened at the same time. JunSu and Myung Hee were now fighting, shouting and really hurting each other, and… The window has broken! A vampire he didn’t knew threw himself thought his window and looked directly at… him! “Oh nooooo, another vampire! He knew that if this vampire wanted to attack him or JaeJoong, they both would die. JunSu was already busy with Myung Hee and wouldn’t be able to protect them against two evil vampires. But still, he needed to warn JunSu that there was more danger now and that he needed to watch his back.
He opened his mouth to scream when he… saw something, or… he saw somebody! His eyes widened when he saw that the vampire didn’t had came alone, he was carrying somebody on his back and… “YOOCHUN!” Shouted YunHo, unbelievingly he stared at his best friend, not understanding at all what was happening and WHY his best friend was here, with… a strange vampire! How had YooChun found him here? And who was the vampire? Was he dangerous? YooChun ran toward him and hugged him and… it felt so good to see his best friend, it was comforting him to know that he now no longer was alone here and he was sure that YooChun knew what he needed to do, his friend had given him always advise when they had been still together as friends. “YooChun, what are you doing here!? It is dangerous here…” He looked at JunSu and Myung Hee and next at the strange vampire who stood still besides the broken window, keeping his distance. Who was this vampire? And was he a danger for them? Again he heard how JaeJoong moaned and he really had no time for this, not now! “YooChun, please keep your distance, I don’t want you to get hurt” spoke YunHo with a shaking voice. He had tried to sound brave, to show his best friend that he was ready do what he needed to do if he wanted to safe his mate, but he failed. He knew that he didn’t sounded as brave as he wished. “YooChun, I know that this sounds strange and even insane, and when I had heard this for the first time I thought that it was a joke, but vampires are real and we are the only humans here right now, so… please be careful and keep your distance, I’m… I’m going to do something… Really dangerous…”
He swallowed but… YooChun didn’t looked surprised or shocked by what he had told his best friend, as if he knew what was happening! “I know” was all what YooChun said before he looked a little uneasy at the vampire who still stood beside the broken window. “The vampire there is… Shim ChangMin and… He is here to help you” said YooChun, still uneasy. “You can trust him.” YunHo looked at the vampire who now walked slowly toward them and hesitated, he wanted help, no, he NEEDED help, but could he trust this vampire? And WHY was YooChun with this ChangMin? He wanted to reject this vampire, to tell him that he didn’t needed the help from a stranger, and that he needed to do this alone, but before he could open his mouth to say this he heard YooChun. “Please, if you don’t trust ChangMin, then believe me and accept his help.” YooChun looked strange, he… he looked at JaeJoong, who was in so much pain and at YunHo, who had JaeJoong’s weak body in his arms, with a knife in his hand, ready to hurt himself to help a vampire. “I know that you have a lot questions, and I promise you to explain everything to you after this, but please, accept ChangMin’s help.” YunHo looked nervous now that this ChangMin was standing so close besides them, but he didn’t had done anything to hurt them, or had tried to make him scared. So, even now that he didn’t liked it, he nodded to the vampire. He really needed help and if YooChun trusted this vampire than it was good right? YooChun would never do something what would be dangerous for him or his love ones…
“Please, hold JaeJoong so that he wouldn’t do anything what is dangerous for both of us” he spoke again with a shivering voice but this time he didn’t tried to hide his real feelings, he was scared and YooChun could see this. The vampire called ChangMin nodded without speaking to him and grabbed JaeJoong by both his shoulders and pushed him against the bed, and while he did that he could clearly see how strong this ChangMin was, he was now even strong as JaeJoong had been when he had first met him, all those weeks ago. He placed both his hands around JaeJoong’s cheeks and tried to connect with his mate, to see how long he was still able to survive and if he needed some of his energy. He closed his eyes and ignored YooChun and the other vampire, but he heard vaguely how YooChun whispered something to the vampire. “What is he doing?” and he heard how the vampire responded. “He is using the bond between himself and his vampire mate to connect” this was the first time he heard how the vampire spoke and he didn’t sounded mean or evil, so he relaxed a little.
“JaeJoong, can you hear me? I’m going to help you now, so it will be over in a few minutes, everything will be alright!” He tried to send his mate all the love, strength and all the positive feelings he had, hoping that he would help his mate. But JaeJoong didn’t responded to him, he just felt… cold and silent, but still alive! Slowly he opened his eyes and while he did that he saw the look in YooChun’s eyes, he saw a confused and… a unbelieving look in his eyes, as if this was all new and strange for him! But he had no time to worry now about his best friend and without thinking, he cut his hand with the knife, he PUSHED the blade deep inside his own hand, without using any painkillers and… He screamed from the pain! It was really the most scary thing he had ever done in his life, even more scaring than hurting the woman who had tried to kill him when he had been abducted, but hurting himself like that was much worse, but he did it! His hand was REALLY hurting and he felt lightheaded, but… he NEEDED to keep calm, he needed to finish this! So he shook his head, tried to breath and… focused his attention on his mate, he was doing this for JaeJoong, to help him and… he was doing it! His hand was bleeding really hard so if he wanted to do it than he needed to do it now!
Again he lifted the knife and slammed it down, with all the strength he had, into the chest from his mate! And while he did that, he saw that the ritual symbols on the knife started to shine bright green, like JaeJoong’s eyes and… The knife sank without any trouble deep inside JaeJoong’s weakened body, and he KNEW that this was too easy, even a human body wasn’t so soft and easy to cut open! He realized that the symbols were helping him and that it was easier to do it because of the symbols, and… he was happy about it! He heard how JaeJoong screamed and how his whole body started to shake, but the other vampire, ChangMin was keeping him easy in control. His eyes were now wide open and he FELT through the bond that JaeJoong almost had no strength left and that he would die in a few seconds. Knowing that he had no time lift he slammed the knife again down, at JaeJoong’s chest and he was cutting everything he saw while he tried to reach his heart and… he saw it! He saw JaeJoong’s heart, weak and almost death! His hands were shaking, his heartbeat quickened and then he started to bleed harder and harder. “I’m almost done, don’t die…” Whispered YunHo and he… PUSHED his bleeding hand INSIDE JaeJoong’s body, to touch his heart with his own bleeding hand. And while he did that he covered JaeJoong’s heart with his own blood, prying in silence that he wasn’t too late and that JaeJoong still would be strong enough to recover… He really didn’t wanted to stay alone here when JaeJoong had died, he didn’t wanted to live without JaeJoong!
But… Nothing happened! JaeJoong just lied there, silent and without moving! “DON’T DO THIS TO ME!” Shouted YunHo and he pushed his bleeding hand harder against JaeJoong’s cold heart and… than something happened.
…Pain… He felt pain…
His eyes widened, his mouth opened and… he fell forward, his body fell next to JaeJoong on the bed but strangely his bleeding hand didn’t moved, he still stayed connected with JaeJoong! But the pain… The pain was so… His whole body started to shake and to shiver, he screamed and he really thought that he would die at that moment, his whole body felt as if he was dying! His heartbeat first started to bead faster and then… It just stopped! His whole body tensed before he lost his unconscious………………….. his hands topped with bleeding and the cut in his and disappeared, as if he had never been wounded and his hand fell away from JaeJoong’s wound… And because he was unconscious he didn’t saw that the cut he had made inside JaeJoong’s chest also started to heal and that his mate started to breathe again!
The vampire who had helped them removed his hands from JaeJoong’s shoulders and did a step away from them and while he did that he grabbed YooChun by his arm to keep him away from the two vampire who still were fighting with each other. ChangMin pulled his best friend behind his back to protect him from any danger and… he waited. “I want to stay with YunHo’ said YooChun while he tried to walk back to his best friend, ignoring the danger, but the vampire spoke before he could do something. “Stay here” spoke ChangMin with a firm voice, accepting no protests from YooChun and… YooChun’s whole body stiffened! If YunHo had been awake to see this, than he would have know what was happening here, than he would have known that his best friends had also a vampire mate, but he wasn’t awake so he didn’t knew that his friends was having the same problems as he had until a few weeks ago. YooChun didn’t looked happy, but he was not able to disobey his mate and had no other option than to stay where he was, behind the back of his vampire. He saw how the two vampires were now almost done with fighting, the vampire he had seen a few hours before was winning the battle, he had worked the vampire girl to the ground and was now ready to kill her!
“Don’t mess with my family” hissed JunSu and he… Broke the neck from the vampire girl, Myung Hee. The sound he made was really… disgusting, he heard how every bone in her neck broke, he heard her scream and he heard how… she suddenly stopped with screaming. What next happened was too much for YooChun, he saw how JunSu broke every bone in her body and how he eventually decapitated her with a rusty knife he had in his pocket. He had all done this for only one purpose, and that was to kill her forever so that she wouldn’t be able to survive this. And when he was done with his job he left her cold and lifeless body on the ground, not caring at all about her and walked toward JaeJoong and his relative, ignoring ChangMin and YooChun while he passed them. He sat down next to the two unconscious people and checked YunHo first to see if he was okay because he was weaker than JaeJoong at the moment, even now that JaeJoong was so sick because of the curse, YunHo was still a human and he had been exposed to all the pain end everything what JaeJoong was feeling, while a human wasn’t strong enough to handle all the pain. And to his relief he saw that even now that YunHo was weak and that he was feeling horrible, he was not in danger and that he would recover. Next he checked JaeJoong’s condition and he saw that JaeJoong also would be okay. JaeJoong had always been strong, even now that his bloodline had been cursed and with YunHo’s help he had survived. JunSu looked back at his relative and felt proud because his great, great, great grandson had done this.
JunSu cleaned the blood from JaeJoong’s body and YunHo’s hand before he covered them both under a blanked. And when he was done he looked eventually at the two guests. “ChangMin, YooChun, thanks for coming so fast. “Of course” spoke ChangMin while he looked at JaeJoong. “I don’t know them, but my mate cares about the human boy, so if I can help them I will do everything I can.” ChangMin nodded to his mate as a sign that he was allowed to look at YunHo and turned his attention toward the death vampire girl, Myung Hee. “I don’t know that has happened here, but I hope that it is over now” spoke he slowly.
A few hours later
JaeJoong was the first one who awakened, his chest was hurting and he felt really weak and tired, but also… he felt strange! This was the first time since he had become a vampire that he had been asleep! He knew that he only could sleep once in the hundred years when he had almost died during the ritual, but it still felt strange to be asleep, his vampire body wasn’t made to sleep so he felt now really uncomfortable. But… he was alive, and that only meant one thing, and that was that YunHo had done the ritual, that his mate had saved him! He felt how YunHo lied in his arms, his warm body was curled against his, but… he didn’t looked really well, his face was pale and his body was tensed, even now that he was fast asleep. He also smelled the strong scent of his blood, all over both their body’s, and JaeJoong knew that this mate must have been in real pain when he had done this ritual. Worried about his mate he tried to use the bond between them to check if his mate was still alright but he felt that he was still too weak to do it, it was simply too much for him to do at the moment! And that made him irritated. But there was something else he just realized, something he didn’t had noted before because he was still really weak, and that was the scent from some strange vampire blood he didn’t recognized! He didn’t knew from who the blood was, but a vampire had been bleeding here, in this room!
Alarmed he checked if YunHo was wounded somewhere and if the vampire who had bleeding here had hurt him, but he found nothing. YunHo seemed to be untouched by the vampire who had been here, but still he wanted to know WHY a strange vampire had been here, and why that vampire had been bleeding! Only two vampires were able to hurt each other, unless they were using a ritual knife with the right symbols on it, special made to hurt a vampire, like the knife he had hidden in the box with all his past memories and the letter for YunHo. The knife YunHo had used lied besides them on the ground, still covered with YunHo’s blood, but it was impossible to hurt somebody else with that knife, it was special made only for JaeJoong and only HIS human mate was able to use it. The symbols were special made only for him and YunHo. It was simply impossible to use the knife against another vampire so YunHo couldn’t have hurt anther vampire here with that knife… And because of that there was only one other option, and that was that JunSu had returned and that HE had hurt a vampire here! Something had happened and YunHo had been in danger! While JaeJoong pulled his mate closer against his own body he tried to listen if they were alone in the house, but again, he was still not strong enough to use his powers! He wanted to look if there was danger, but at the same time he didn’t wanted to leave his mate alone while he was so vulnerable at the moment! The window was broken and a cold breeze was making the room cold, and again, he wondered worried what had happened and who had broken the window!
So he stayed where he was, with his mate in his arms, covered under a warm blanked and waiting for the moment when his mate would be awake again, but when that would happen he didn’t knew. He only knew that his mate needed time to recover from what had happened, he had experienced so much pain, almost too much pain for a human to handle, so JaeJoong hoped that his mate would stay asleep for a few more hours because sleeping was one of the best things what was helping him now, while his mate was asleep he wouldn’t be able to feel much pain and he would only get stronger, his mental wounds, if he had them, would also heal while he was asleep so sleeping was YunHo’s best medicine at the moment. And while YunHo slept in the arms from his mate, he calmed and relaxed slowly while his body had been tensed when JaeJoong had first awakened. And JaeJoong stared all the time lovingly at his mate, he didn’t remembered much from what had happened, he had been too weak to really be aware of what had happened, but he remembered vaguely that YunHo had tried a few times to talk with him, using the bond, but… he had never answered! And he felt really bad about that!
He had ignored his mate while he had needed him the most and he hated himself because of that, even now that he knew that he had been simply too weak to do anything, he still wished that he had been able to do SOMETHING! He sighed and caressed YunHo’s cheeks this his fingertips, and while he did that he saw that his mate started to move a little, he pushed his cheek closer against his hand but he didn’t awakened, he just lied there, snuggled against JaeJoong who was still really cold and because of that he tried to cover his mate more under the blanked, afraid that his mate would get cold because he was sleeping so close against JaeJoong’s almost frozen body.
When YunHo eventually awakened he immediately moaned, he felt HORRIBLE! His whole body was stiff, he had a headache and he felt really tried and weak! He had trouble with opening his eyes, so it was easier to just kept them close and try to sleep some more, hoping that the pain and the weakness would be gone when he awakened again, but JUST at that moment he realized something… He opened his eyes and flew upright while he shouted, “JaeJoong!” With his eyes wide and his face pale, he looked next him, he felt a cold body but, was that body still alive? “Sss” soothed JaeJoong and wrapped his arms around YunHo’s shaking body. “It’s alright, you have done it very well! I’m still alive so don’t worry about me okay?” He looked at JaeJoong and… Yes, he seemed to be okay, he still looked tired but he already looked more healthier than before! So the first thing he did when he knew that his mate was already feeling better was… Hugging him in a really tight grip! He flew in his arms, pressed his own body against JaeJoong’s body and hugged him. He even didn’t knew that he had cried until JaeJoong started to sooth him again. “It’s okay…” muttered JaeJoong while he tried to comfort his mate. “Are you really okay? Have I done everything what you have instructed? Is it over now?” YunHo really hoped that it was over now and that he and JaeJoong didn’t needed to experience this again and that they both would be happy and healthy from now on. “I’m really okay” answered JaeJoong, “You have done everything exactly like I have instructed in the letter and… I’m so sorry that I wasn’t able to tell you everything in person and that you needed to read it in the letter.” JaeJoong sounded sad while he spoke, he really felt sorry for everything what had happened, he knew that he had caused his mate a lot stress and worry and he hoped that his mate would forgive him.
But, there was something he needed to remind his mate of, “YunHo… I don’t like it, but… you know that we need to repeat this every hundred years?” When JaeJoong had said this to him he looked down at his hands, he knew that JaeJoong had told him this before, but he had hoped that something had changed and that his mate would be alright after this. But… he had been wrong, his hopes were… unrealistic. “I know” said he with a sad voice, he already shivered only by the thought that he needed to do this again, knowing that he needed to experience all this again was making him really stressed and it wasn’t a reassurance that he could wait hundred year because he still needed to do it again and he still needed to see his love hurt again, he still needed to do the ritual in the future… “I’m sorry” said JaeJoong with a whisper and he really was sorry, he could see it by the look in JaeJoong’s eyes… “I know” said YunHo and forced himself to smile at his worried mate. “Are you already stronger?” He looked worried at his mate and tried to feel how JaeJoong was feeling now while he used his bond, but… he still felt really weak and tired…
“I will be stronger when I have drunk some blood” said JaeJoong slowly and he looked hungry at his mate. “Are you strong enough or do you want me to wait?” JaeJoong really needed blood, he knew that, but it was good to know that he was willing to wait for his mate, so he nodded. “You can drink now” said YunHo. He still was tried and felt horrible, but he hoped that if JaeJoong was feeling a little better he could take care of him for a while because he was really tired and stressed from everything what had happened. He also suddenly thought about YooChun and the other vampire, ChangMin, but they weren’t here right now, so he assumed that they have left for a while, giving them some privacy and the only reason why he didn’t had told JaeJoong about what had happened was because he trusted YooChun and because he KNEW that JaeJoong wanted to look if he knew that there had been a strange vampire inside the house. And… JaeJoong was still too weak to do that, so he decided to NOT tell it him until he was stronger again. And… he wanted to talk with YooChun, but that was also not the most important thing to do right now. So when he had decided what to do he lied on the bed and closed his eyes, ready for JaeJoong to do what he needed to do and tried to relax…

Again he heard how JaeJoong moaned and he really had no time for this, not now! “YooChun, please keep your distance, I don’t want you to get hurt” spoke YunHo with a shaking voice. He had tried to sound brave, to show his best friend that he was ready do what he needed to do if he wanted to safe his mate, but he failed. He knew that he didn’t sounded as brave as he wished. “YooChun, I know that this sounds strange and even insane, and when I had heard this for the first time I thought that it was a joke, but vampires are real and we are the only humans here right now, so… please be careful and keep your distance, I’m… I’m going to do something… Really dangerous…”
He swallowed but… YooChun didn’t looked surprised or shocked by what he had told his best friend, as if he knew what was happening! “I know” was all what YooChun said before he looked a little uneasy at the vampire who still stood beside the broken window. “The vampire there is… Shim ChangMin and… He is here to help you” said YooChun, still uneasy. “You can trust him.” YunHo looked at the vampire who now walked slowly toward them and hesitated, he wanted help, no, he NEEDED help, but could he trust this vampire? And WHY was YooChun with this ChangMin? He wanted to reject this vampire, to tell him that he didn’t needed the help from a stranger, and that he needed to do this alone, but before he could open his mouth to say this he heard YooChun. “Please, if you don’t trust ChangMin, then believe me and accept his help.” YooChun looked strange, he… he looked at JaeJoong, who was in so much pain and at YunHo, who had JaeJoong’s weak body in his arms, with a knife in his hand, ready to hurt himself to help a vampire. “I know that you have a lot questions, and I promise you to explain everything to you after this, but please, accept ChangMin’s help.” YunHo looked nervous now that this ChangMin was standing so close besides them, but he didn’t had done anything to hurt them, or had tried to make him scared. So, even now that he didn’t liked it, he nodded to the vampire. He really needed help and if YooChun trusted this vampire than it was good right? YooChun would never do something what would be dangerous for him or his love ones…
“Please, hold JaeJoong so that he wouldn’t do anything what is dangerous for both of us” he spoke again with a shivering voice but this time he didn’t tried to hide his real feelings, he was scared and YooChun could see this. The vampire called ChangMin nodded without speaking to him and grabbed JaeJoong by both his shoulders and pushed him against the bed, and while he did that he could clearly see how strong this ChangMin was, he was now even strong as JaeJoong had been when he had first met him, all those weeks ago. He placed both his hands around JaeJoong’s cheeks and tried to connect with his mate, to see how long he was still able to survive and if he needed some of his energy. He closed his eyes and ignored YooChun and the other vampire, but he heard vaguely how YooChun whispered something to the vampire. “What is he doing?” and he heard how the vampire responded. “He is using the bond between himself and his vampire mate to connect” this was the first time he heard how the vampire spoke and he didn’t sounded mean or evil, so he relaxed a little.
“JaeJoong, can you hear me? I’m going to help you now, so it will be over in a few minutes, everything will be alright!” He tried to send his mate all the love, strength and all the positive feelings he had, hoping that he would help his mate. But JaeJoong didn’t responded to him, he just felt… cold and silent, but still alive! Slowly he opened his eyes and while he did that he saw the look in YooChun’s eyes, he saw a confused and… a unbelieving look in his eyes, as if this was all new and strange for him! But he had no time to worry now about his best friend and without thinking, he cut his hand with the knife, he PUSHED the blade deep inside his own hand, without using any painkillers and… He screamed from the pain! It was really the most scary thing he had ever done in his life, even more scaring than hurting the woman who had tried to kill him when he had been abducted, but hurting himself like that was much worse, but he did it! His hand was REALLY hurting and he felt lightheaded, but… he NEEDED to keep calm, he needed to finish this! So he shook his head, tried to breath and… focused his attention on his mate, he was doing this for JaeJoong, to help him and… he was doing it! His hand was bleeding really hard so if he wanted to do it than he needed to do it now!
Again he lifted the knife and slammed it down, with all the strength he had, into the chest from his mate! And while he did that, he saw that the ritual symbols on the knife started to shine bright green, like JaeJoong’s eyes and… The knife sank without any trouble deep inside JaeJoong’s weakened body, and he KNEW that this was too easy, even a human body wasn’t so soft and easy to cut open! He realized that the symbols were helping him and that it was easier to do it because of the symbols, and… he was happy about it! He heard how JaeJoong screamed and how his whole body started to shake, but the other vampire, ChangMin was keeping him easy in control. His eyes were now wide open and he FELT through the bond that JaeJoong almost had no strength left and that he would die in a few seconds. Knowing that he had no time lift he slammed the knife again down, at JaeJoong’s chest and he was cutting everything he saw while he tried to reach his heart and… he saw it! He saw JaeJoong’s heart, weak and almost death! His hands were shaking, his heartbeat quickened and then he started to bleed harder and harder. “I’m almost done, don’t die…” Whispered YunHo and he… PUSHED his bleeding hand INSIDE JaeJoong’s body, to touch his heart with his own bleeding hand. And while he did that he covered JaeJoong’s heart with his own blood, prying in silence that he wasn’t too late and that JaeJoong still would be strong enough to recover… He really didn’t wanted to stay alone here when JaeJoong had died, he didn’t wanted to live without JaeJoong!
But… Nothing happened! JaeJoong just lied there, silent and without moving! “DON’T DO THIS TO ME!” Shouted YunHo and he pushed his bleeding hand harder against JaeJoong’s cold heart and… than something happened.
…Pain… He felt pain…
His eyes widened, his mouth opened and… he fell forward, his body fell next to JaeJoong on the bed but strangely his bleeding hand didn’t moved, he still stayed connected with JaeJoong! But the pain… The pain was so… His whole body started to shake and to shiver, he screamed and he really thought that he would die at that moment, his whole body felt as if he was dying! His heartbeat first started to bead faster and then… It just stopped! His whole body tensed before he lost his unconscious………………….. his hands topped with bleeding and the cut in his and disappeared, as if he had never been wounded and his hand fell away from JaeJoong’s wound… And because he was unconscious he didn’t saw that the cut he had made inside JaeJoong’s chest also started to heal and that his mate started to breathe again!
The vampire who had helped them removed his hands from JaeJoong’s shoulders and did a step away from them and while he did that he grabbed YooChun by his arm to keep him away from the two vampire who still were fighting with each other. ChangMin pulled his best friend behind his back to protect him from any danger and… he waited. “I want to stay with YunHo’ said YooChun while he tried to walk back to his best friend, ignoring the danger, but the vampire spoke before he could do something. “Stay here” spoke ChangMin with a firm voice, accepting no protests from YooChun and… YooChun’s whole body stiffened! If YunHo had been awake to see this, than he would have know what was happening here, than he would have known that his best friends had also a vampire mate, but he wasn’t awake so he didn’t knew that his friends was having the same problems as he had until a few weeks ago. YooChun didn’t looked happy, but he was not able to disobey his mate and had no other option than to stay where he was, behind the back of his vampire. He saw how the two vampires were now almost done with fighting, the vampire he had seen a few hours before was winning the battle, he had worked the vampire girl to the ground and was now ready to kill her!
“Don’t mess with my family” hissed JunSu and he… Broke the neck from the vampire girl, Myung Hee. The sound he made was really… disgusting, he heard how every bone in her neck broke, he heard her scream and he heard how… she suddenly stopped with screaming. What next happened was too much for YooChun, he saw how JunSu broke every bone in her body and how he eventually decapitated her with a rusty knife he had in his pocket. He had all done this for only one purpose, and that was to kill her forever so that she wouldn’t be able to survive this. And when he was done with his job he left her cold and lifeless body on the ground, not caring at all about her and walked toward JaeJoong and his relative, ignoring ChangMin and YooChun while he passed them. He sat down next to the two unconscious people and checked YunHo first to see if he was okay because he was weaker than JaeJoong at the moment, even now that JaeJoong was so sick because of the curse, YunHo was still a human and he had been exposed to all the pain end everything what JaeJoong was feeling, while a human wasn’t strong enough to handle all the pain. And to his relief he saw that even now that YunHo was weak and that he was feeling horrible, he was not in danger and that he would recover. Next he checked JaeJoong’s condition and he saw that JaeJoong also would be okay. JaeJoong had always been strong, even now that his bloodline had been cursed and with YunHo’s help he had survived. JunSu looked back at his relative and felt proud because his great, great, great grandson had done this.
JunSu cleaned the blood from JaeJoong’s body and YunHo’s hand before he covered them both under a blanked. And when he was done he looked eventually at the two guests. “ChangMin, YooChun, thanks for coming so fast. “Of course” spoke ChangMin while he looked at JaeJoong. “I don’t know them, but my mate cares about the human boy, so if I can help them I will do everything I can.” ChangMin nodded to his mate as a sign that he was allowed to look at YunHo and turned his attention toward the death vampire girl, Myung Hee. “I don’t know that has happened here, but I hope that it is over now” spoke he slowly.
A few hours later
JaeJoong was the first one who awakened, his chest was hurting and he felt really weak and tired, but also… he felt strange! This was the first time since he had become a vampire that he had been asleep! He knew that he only could sleep once in the hundred years when he had almost died during the ritual, but it still felt strange to be asleep, his vampire body wasn’t made to sleep so he felt now really uncomfortable. But… he was alive, and that only meant one thing, and that was that YunHo had done the ritual, that his mate had saved him! He felt how YunHo lied in his arms, his warm body was curled against his, but… he didn’t looked really well, his face was pale and his body was tensed, even now that he was fast asleep. He also smelled the strong scent of his blood, all over both their body’s, and JaeJoong knew that this mate must have been in real pain when he had done this ritual. Worried about his mate he tried to use the bond between them to check if his mate was still alright but he felt that he was still too weak to do it, it was simply too much for him to do at the moment! And that made him irritated. But there was something else he just realized, something he didn’t had noted before because he was still really weak, and that was the scent from some strange vampire blood he didn’t recognized! He didn’t knew from who the blood was, but a vampire had been bleeding here, in this room!
Alarmed he checked if YunHo was wounded somewhere and if the vampire who had bleeding here had hurt him, but he found nothing. YunHo seemed to be untouched by the vampire who had been here, but still he wanted to know WHY a strange vampire had been here, and why that vampire had been bleeding! Only two vampires were able to hurt each other, unless they were using a ritual knife with the right symbols on it, special made to hurt a vampire, like the knife he had hidden in the box with all his past memories and the letter for YunHo. The knife YunHo had used lied besides them on the ground, still covered with YunHo’s blood, but it was impossible to hurt somebody else with that knife, it was special made only for JaeJoong and only HIS human mate was able to use it. The symbols were special made only for him and YunHo. It was simply impossible to use the knife against another vampire so YunHo couldn’t have hurt anther vampire here with that knife… And because of that there was only one other option, and that was that JunSu had returned and that HE had hurt a vampire here! Something had happened and YunHo had been in danger! While JaeJoong pulled his mate closer against his own body he tried to listen if they were alone in the house, but again, he was still not strong enough to use his powers! He wanted to look if there was danger, but at the same time he didn’t wanted to leave his mate alone while he was so vulnerable at the moment! The window was broken and a cold breeze was making the room cold, and again, he wondered worried what had happened and who had broken the window!
So he stayed where he was, with his mate in his arms, covered under a warm blanked and waiting for the moment when his mate would be awake again, but when that would happen he didn’t knew. He only knew that his mate needed time to recover from what had happened, he had experienced so much pain, almost too much pain for a human to handle, so JaeJoong hoped that his mate would stay asleep for a few more hours because sleeping was one of the best things what was helping him now, while his mate was asleep he wouldn’t be able to feel much pain and he would only get stronger, his mental wounds, if he had them, would also heal while he was asleep so sleeping was YunHo’s best medicine at the moment. And while YunHo slept in the arms from his mate, he calmed and relaxed slowly while his body had been tensed when JaeJoong had first awakened. And JaeJoong stared all the time lovingly at his mate, he didn’t remembered much from what had happened, he had been too weak to really be aware of what had happened, but he remembered vaguely that YunHo had tried a few times to talk with him, using the bond, but… he had never answered! And he felt really bad about that!
He had ignored his mate while he had needed him the most and he hated himself because of that, even now that he knew that he had been simply too weak to do anything, he still wished that he had been able to do SOMETHING! He sighed and caressed YunHo’s cheeks this his fingertips, and while he did that he saw that his mate started to move a little, he pushed his cheek closer against his hand but he didn’t awakened, he just lied there, snuggled against JaeJoong who was still really cold and because of that he tried to cover his mate more under the blanked, afraid that his mate would get cold because he was sleeping so close against JaeJoong’s almost frozen body.
When YunHo eventually awakened he immediately moaned, he felt HORRIBLE! His whole body was stiff, he had a headache and he felt really tried and weak! He had trouble with opening his eyes, so it was easier to just kept them close and try to sleep some more, hoping that the pain and the weakness would be gone when he awakened again, but JUST at that moment he realized something… He opened his eyes and flew upright while he shouted, “JaeJoong!” With his eyes wide and his face pale, he looked next him, he felt a cold body but, was that body still alive? “Sss” soothed JaeJoong and wrapped his arms around YunHo’s shaking body. “It’s alright, you have done it very well! I’m still alive so don’t worry about me okay?” He looked at JaeJoong and… Yes, he seemed to be okay, he still looked tired but he already looked more healthier than before! So the first thing he did when he knew that his mate was already feeling better was… Hugging him in a really tight grip! He flew in his arms, pressed his own body against JaeJoong’s body and hugged him. He even didn’t knew that he had cried until JaeJoong started to sooth him again. “It’s okay…” muttered JaeJoong while he tried to comfort his mate. “Are you really okay? Have I done everything what you have instructed? Is it over now?” YunHo really hoped that it was over now and that he and JaeJoong didn’t needed to experience this again and that they both would be happy and healthy from now on. “I’m really okay” answered JaeJoong, “You have done everything exactly like I have instructed in the letter and… I’m so sorry that I wasn’t able to tell you everything in person and that you needed to read it in the letter.” JaeJoong sounded sad while he spoke, he really felt sorry for everything what had happened, he knew that he had caused his mate a lot stress and worry and he hoped that his mate would forgive him.
But, there was something he needed to remind his mate of, “YunHo… I don’t like it, but… you know that we need to repeat this every hundred years?” When JaeJoong had said this to him he looked down at his hands, he knew that JaeJoong had told him this before, but he had hoped that something had changed and that his mate would be alright after this. But… he had been wrong, his hopes were… unrealistic. “I know” said he with a sad voice, he already shivered only by the thought that he needed to do this again, knowing that he needed to experience all this again was making him really stressed and it wasn’t a reassurance that he could wait hundred year because he still needed to do it again and he still needed to see his love hurt again, he still needed to do the ritual in the future… “I’m sorry” said JaeJoong with a whisper and he really was sorry, he could see it by the look in JaeJoong’s eyes… “I know” said YunHo and forced himself to smile at his worried mate. “Are you already stronger?” He looked worried at his mate and tried to feel how JaeJoong was feeling now while he used his bond, but… he still felt really weak and tired…
“I will be stronger when I have drunk some blood” said JaeJoong slowly and he looked hungry at his mate. “Are you strong enough or do you want me to wait?” JaeJoong really needed blood, he knew that, but it was good to know that he was willing to wait for his mate, so he nodded. “You can drink now” said YunHo. He still was tried and felt horrible, but he hoped that if JaeJoong was feeling a little better he could take care of him for a while because he was really tired and stressed from everything what had happened. He also suddenly thought about YooChun and the other vampire, ChangMin, but they weren’t here right now, so he assumed that they have left for a while, giving them some privacy and the only reason why he didn’t had told JaeJoong about what had happened was because he trusted YooChun and because he KNEW that JaeJoong wanted to look if he knew that there had been a strange vampire inside the house. And… JaeJoong was still too weak to do that, so he decided to NOT tell it him until he was stronger again. And… he wanted to talk with YooChun, but that was also not the most important thing to do right now. So when he had decided what to do he lied on the bed and closed his eyes, ready for JaeJoong to do what he needed to do and tried to relax…
