The still gentle wind blew through the canopy carrying with it the scent of autumn. A few stray leaves were snagged by the flow of air and made to dance around erratically, having no control over where they would land. Undisturbed by wind or the sound of rustling leaves, is a white haired teenager resting against a tree, apparently deep in sleep.
There would be nothing wrong with this picture if it weren't for the fact that the teen was holding what seemed to be a very large yet peculiarly designed broadsword in his right hand. The other detail that would catch the eye of those passing by, was the lack of a left arm. His amputation did not look recent nor did it seem to be something resulting from a wound. Instead there was a peculiar seal on his stump. A black base with a white cross on it. This made it seem almost deliberate and part of the boy's body make up.
There was also the fact that he was covered in blood on his chest and and abdomen as well a bit of his face. Though there were no open wounds anywhere on his body, strangely. He was however covered in scars. The most prominent of the scars was on the boy's face. A furious streak of red flesh carving it's mark on the left hand side of his face. The upper part was shaped like an upside down pentacle. This was an old wound and it was definitely not the source of the patches of dried blood on the boy's face.
Then there was his torso which was covered in a myriad of scars. The most eye-catching of those resembled the aftermath of a large perpendicular cut or stab wound to his chest. The other looked like it also was once a stab wound. But this one seemed a bit more fresh than it's larger counterpart. He was also missing his shirt entirely.
Where did he come from? Was he even alive at all? And what on earth happened to him?
