Deathwing might have remembered that his sister was as familiar with fire as he himself was. She knew how it could nurture, renew, and purify... and she knew how it could kill and incinerate.

That calamitous, murderous intent spilling across the world was not one Alexstrasza could have ignored even if she had been inclined to. It was one that she knew well, and one that set even the Aspect of Life on edge. Deathwing might have stood for everything she opposed, representing a short-sighted, self-destructive nature that was unsustainable... but beyond his arrogance and malice was power. Frightening power.

Power that she could not allow to go unchecked. The red leviathan's wings stretched, deep thundering beats echoing through the air as she took to the skies.

Deathwing's chest heaved quiet violently as it often did, an old aching wound as a result of the power he sought to keep too close to himself. It hardly hindered him this day, but it made him stand out even more than he sought to. Lava spilled from the cavity, his great head turning south as he sensed another approaching.

His elder sister. She would be there soon...in the meantime, he would cultivate the fire he already started, seeking another target as to which he could decimate. Perhaps a moving target...

She may have been elder, but he was larger, his steel-plated skin a mockery of the proud and beautiful dragon she had once known. Alexstrasza was quiet as she approached - her brother could not have missed her coming, she was all too aware of that.

The Aspect wondered if he would attack her on sight or if he would restrain himself... for a few moments. She was drawing close to him, now, close enough to speak.

"I should have known your murderous impulses would overwhelm you."

Deathwing turned away from his garden of ash to look at his sister calmly, twisting his body about with startling grace. Even with all that plating, he had the mastery over his body that all dragons had. His claws flexed, muscles tense, every fiber hinting of an oncoming attack that never came -- he was still, for now.

"Just as I had known you would come," he replied in a deep rumble. Her disappointment meant nothing. He would do as he pleased, and she would hardly be of any discourse.

Naturally, he didn't want to be rid of the only possible tool to further his aims back on Azeroth. He could not be certain anything he did here to carry back there...but that wouldn't stop him from trying.

There was a tenseness in her voice that had not been heard in quite some time. This was the first time they had faced each other in their true forms since her imprisonment from captivity and the shattering of the Soul, after all. Alexstrasza had quite the heart, but of all the creatures in the world, her brother was perhaps the one that she could never forgive.

"You are a fool if you believe I shall allow you to scour this world without opposition, Deathwing."

The Black Aspect cackled, much differently than his usual calm chuckling. This laughter held no humor, only malice and a heavy heaping of insanity. The residue from his attack slowly dripped down his heavy jaw when he finally stopped laughing.

"You speak as if you have the power to stop me, sister dear," Deathwing replied, the smirk more evident in his tone than on his face. "I had no doubt that you would come. But you are the fool if you believe your power greater than my own."

"No," came Ysera's faraway voice softly, a hint of anger weaving into her tone as The Dreamer herself phased into view beside her red sister.

"You are the only ignorant one here, Deathwing, if you believe that our sister fights alone against you."

Krasus was now Korialstrasz when he reached the three aspects, placing himself next to his Queen.

"What have you done, Deathwing?" he growled.

Alexstrasza's attention remained focused on her brother, her voice quiet - well, relative to her size - even as her sister and beloved joined her in flight. "What power could you possess that would be greater than that of creation, Neltharion? You can only unmake, and that is nothing compared to the power of life, and hope, and that which they carry with them."

Her head tilted to the side. "Korialstrasz, this should not be your battle."

"Shall we...find out?" the behemoth mused, the lava dripping at his mouth increasing in volume. He would not be caught unprepared. The appearance of his other sister and his eldest's mate did not appear to phase him in the least. It was no wonder people thought him overconfident.

The monster's great head swung to face Korialstrasz, metal plates shifting with him. "Only a taste, little red wyrm, only a taste..." Deathwing replied, eyes narrowing slightly. This one was going to irritate him until the end of days, like an irritating gnat that just refused to find another perch.

He'd fix that.

Though her expression remained unchanged and her eyelid kept tightly closed, the green dragon's wings flexed powerfully at her side as her tail uncoiled behind her. She was preparing to defend herself and her sister. Ysera was not one to initiate an attack against anyone, Deathwing included. Only the death of Malorne had caused her to act so out of character.

There was much more aggression in her tone this time. "You will not touch the little one."

Korialstrasz didn't budge from his position, "I won't let what happened in Grim Batol happen again! I won't abandon you, my Queen!"

His head rose and he looked Deathwing in the eye. No, he was never going to forgive Deathwing. After all he did. After all the pain. The nightmares. Oh the nightmares of what horrors Deathwing must have committed unto his Queen still haunt the mage's mind to this day. Sometimes, he can still feel the pain of the wounds he received at Grim Batol.

Korialstrasz snorted at the black dragon, as if to say 'fuck you'.
