Deathwing might have remembered that his sister was as familiar with fire as he himself was. She knew how it could nurture, renew, and purify... and she knew how it could kill and incinerate.

That calamitous, murderous intent spilling across the world was not one Alexstrasza could have ignored even if she had been inclined to. It was one that she knew well, and one that set even the Aspect of Life on edge. Deathwing might have stood for everything she opposed, representing a short-sighted, self-destructive nature that was unsustainable... but beyond his arrogance and malice was power. Frightening power.

Power that she could not allow to go unchecked. The red leviathan's wings stretched, deep thundering beats echoing through the air as she took to the skies.

Deathwing's chest heaved quiet violently as it often did, an old aching wound as a result of the power he sought to keep too close to himself. It hardly hindered him this day, but it made him stand out even more than he sought to. Lava spilled from the cavity, his great head turning south as he sensed another approaching.

His elder sister. She would be there soon...in the meantime, he would cultivate the fire he already started, seeking another target as to which he could decimate. Perhaps a moving target...

She may have been elder, but he was larger, his steel-plated skin a mockery of the proud and beautiful dragon she had once known. Alexstrasza was quiet as she approached - her brother could not have missed her coming, she was all too aware of that.

The Aspect wondered if he would attack her on sight or if he would restrain himself... for a few moments. She was drawing close to him, now, close enough to speak.

"I should have known your murderous impulses would overwhelm you."

Deathwing turned away from his garden of ash to look at his sister calmly, twisting his body about with startling grace. Even with all that plating, he had the mastery over his body that all dragons had. His claws flexed, muscles tense, every fiber hinting of an oncoming attack that never came -- he was still, for now.

"Just as I had known you would come," he replied in a deep rumble. Her disappointment meant nothing. He would do as he pleased, and she would hardly be of any discourse.

Naturally, he didn't want to be rid of the only possible tool to further his aims back on Azeroth. He could not be certain anything he did here to carry back there...but that wouldn't stop him from trying.

Amaterasu could sense something. The god was well aware of the inhabitants activities, and maintainted a quiet, gentle sort of guardianship over the domain of Somarium. Which was why when she saw fire raining down onto shops, did she immediately sense it ( ... )

The leviathan did not appreciate his efforts being reversed. In another sense, it prepped them to be annihilated again, but by the same token, it would get tiresome desecrating the same target over and over again. Plated claws flexing, Deathwing craned his head to stare down at the creature who sought to undo his work.

A worg, by the looks of it, of some magical origin. That was what he could make out, anyway. Almost childishly, the Aspect of Earth tilted his head to the side, wingbeats keeping him aloft. Those fire-filled eyes, however, would narrow.

"Charming..." he rumbled deeply, his voice surprisingly absent of the grate that may have come with being ripped asunder with lava as he was. "Run along, little pup." Another short jet of lava would fire from his mouth, aimed at the goddess below.

Amaterasu stood her ground, staring very solemnly at the dragon above her, her wolf-eyes coldly meeting his. At this sudden move Amaterasu quickly retaliated with a jet of water that quickly doused any sort of lava coming towards her.

I'm not going anywhere,, Her eyes seemed to say, as she padded gingerly back to the ruined house and in a flash, restored it back to it's normal appearance.

Creatures who seeked only destruction, in her book, it was something that could not be allowed. Life was far too precious, and every mortal life deserved to continue on in the God's book.

She had fought Yamata no Orochi. This monster was nothing.

"Little One," the voice came from above as Deathwing's elder sister noted the goddess' valiant resistance. Alexstrasza's beating wings cut through the air with thundering cracks, holding her airborne as she hovered overhead.

"This should not be your battle."

Amaterasu calmly assessed Alexstraza with a soft whine, It is though, young one. He harms the earth, and people's efforts. For that alone, it's my battle too.

As great as these dragons were, Amaterasu was a divine being, a holy sentient. It held a sort of other level, something that seperated her from them. When she said young one she meant it out of honesty, for Amaterasu was as old as Nippon itself. The wolf stared calmly back into Deathwing's eyes, well aware of what he was doing, but this might have worked on a mortal's mind, but to sway the mind of a God..was a completely different thing altogether.

Scratching her ears with a soft whine, the wolf rose and swung her tail in an arc as she snarled in fury. A bolt of lightning surged a few inches away from Deathwing.

The wolf stood ever calm.

He had his answer now.

The dragon growled inwardly in frustration. How was it that this creature was able to resist so easily? The lightening wasn't even acknowledged -- if it hurt him at all, he was very good at hiding it. The most response Amaterasu would receive would be a small flick of his wing.

Another jet of molten lava would spring at the building she had just restored. If that annoying little pooch was going to stick around and the majority of his attacks were going to be ineffective, he was going to make her work.

Work until he found the time to strike.

Amaterasu scowled, using quick-thinking she froze the jet of fire with her Blizzard Technique, however should she leave it at that a great column of ice would fall and damage even more houses...

What she marveled at was Deathwing's body..was a perfect outlet to draw her fire power from. The god drew some of the lava from his own body, using it to burn the frozen column as it fell in it's path down to earth. It would fall in a harmless sheet of water..

How dare she.

It was one thing to render his powers useless (irritating, to say the least), but to draw on his own power? An at atrocity he would not be able to forgive (if he even still had the capacity to forgive in the first place).

With a rather violent roar, the rock beneath the goddess would begin to quake, the soil and rock snapping to jagged spikes, seeking to impale Amaterasu in any way possible. Meanwhile, Deathwing remained above, looking none-too-amused.

Danny dives to the ground instinctively as the sky turns dark. He expects the rumbling 'swoosh' as whatever's high above him passes by, but the 'KABOOM!!' takes him by surprise. He knows the sound--a building just exploded. One that was close by. Oh man, was anyone inside of it!?

Danny's eyes are riveted on the burning wreckage, until the sound of another one going down reaches him. He tears his gaze away, looking first at the next building, and then at the dragon that caused it all.

The boy suddenly scrambles to his feet so fast he almost trips, dashing towards a huddle of trashcans beside a nearby, still-very-intact house. The instant he's out of sight, there's a flash of light between the trash cans' gaps, and the next moment there's a silver-haired ghost-boy tearing through the air after the dragon.

"You may not be a ghost, pal," he mutters grimly, "but I still can't let you do that!"

Deathwing turned to glance at the gnat nearby. The brief pulse of power shifting did not go unnoticed by him. But no, it was a boy, a human boy by the looks of it, save for the fact that he was flying. The leviathan chuckled softly, wingbeats causing the fires he had created to roar angrily.

"What is this?" he snickered, lava still dripping from his mouth. "Little mortal, you haven't any idea what you've stumbled upon." But of course, that didn't mean Deathwing was going to let him correct his mistake.

After all, he was hardly merciful.

"The one with no idea here is you!" Danny yells back, trying to sound braver than he feels. He follows the dripping lava with his eyes--the drops incinerate whatever they land on. Whatever that stuff is, it's hot. It's also defenitely not ghost-related.

The kid's initial burst of confidence quails.

"Just--leave this city alone! If you do, you won't get hurt!" Danny adds, like a tiny, floating mouse bellowing at a large, fire-breathing lion.

"Be calm, child."

The Life-Binder's voice was quiet and protective, yet stern. "You have certainly demonstrated your bravery today, but this is not your fight." A red form rose from underneath Danny, the sound of her wings pounding thunder as she interposed herself between the boy and the Aspect of Earth.

Senri didn't especially like the city, as it was void of life and anything that was familiar to him, so needless to say, he thus spent most of his time in Espoir. As a result, it was rather hard not to notice when a shadow fell over.

He didn't recognize the creature that was in the sky, but he didn't need to. Without hesitation, his arm transformed, as he held it out in front of him and stared at the creature. No particular thought was going through his head, other than that he was possibly in danger--and that was good enough of a reason for him to transform.

The dragon's head turned slowly from its task to stare at the man below with one large eye. The shift of power due to the transformation had not gone unnoticed by him either. So many foolish mortals...he had never thought he'd see the day where more foolishness existed than that which was present in Azeroth.

Still, it kept him entertained. Deathwing quite suddenly dropped to the ground, tail dragging across the debris he had created rather carelessly to loom over the newcomer.

No words -- not yet, anyway. He wanted to see what this one would do...

As strange as it might've sounded, although Senri had his fears, battle wasn't one of them (unless his friends were being threatened, but that wasn't possible when they weren't here). His tendency to act before thinking probably helped with that.

He gave a start when the creature dropped, but he still wasn't frightened. His expression turning into a glare, he began running towards the creature.

Unfortunately, common sense happened to be something Senri failed to possess.

A deep rumble came from Deathwing, perhaps Senri would recognize it as a scoff. Rather than cook him to a crisp, the giant stood and turned full-circle, seeking to send him flying backwards with the impact of his metal-plated tail.

His claws scraped the ground to assist in keeping him balanced as he twirled -- he wouldn't be caught off-guard if he happened to miss.
