Chrona did not know how to deal with this.
However, the last time that he had seen her, he was dying in her arms, his mother looming in the background with the intent to kill the both of them. Which couldn't have been good, to say the least.
But he had to find her now. Because he wasn't dead, and thus, as a logical conclusion, she couldn't be either. He refused to believe that he world worked like that, leaving people like him to live and people like her to die. So he was going to find her, no matter how long it took. He didn't know where he was, but that didn't matter.
"M...Maka?" He called out, not wanting to bother any of the people that were in these houses, but still wanting her to know that he was looking for her, if she was there. It'd be rude to yell, anyway. Right?
