He'd seen fields of flowers stretching as far as the eye could see, bright blooms of every color, but Kakashi had never seen so many carefully cultivated roses in one place in his life. It reminded him of the field of red clover in Akagahara, where he'd taken his chuunin exam -- bright crimson petals that floated over the ground.
He remembered reading that red roses were a symbol of love.
It was a little strange to find so much of it here in one place. Strange too, that he was actually standing there, contemplating its meaning when he was already over two hours late.
Stranger, that he could sense a faint barrier of chakra surrounding the roses and the church.
It felt a little like the barrier around Konoha.
