Laharl was, in fact, doing the same thing- Well, except for the stripping, since he already didn't wear a skirt and he felt naked without his scarf. Messing around a bit with his sword, he did his best to beat the shit out of a random bird, failing to even hit it once due to its high SPD stat because of his injured sword arm from slamming into a sofa.

Thinking back on exactly what had transpired last time he'd had his sword out, he growled quietly to himself before deciding that quiet didn't work for an Overlord.

"DAMN THAT ASCH THE BLOODY!"

Asch paused when he heard the (rather loud) shout, blinking at the familiar voice. He turned, spotting the obnoxious demon not all that far away. A small smirk came to his face as he stuck his sword in the ground, leaning against it as he put a hand on his hip.

"You called?"

Laharl turned slowly, glaring a murderous glare at the redhead. He sheathed his sword, walking up to Asch and attempting to stare him directly in the eye- which is difficult when you're a few inches shorter than your target.

"You!" he screamed, slightly quieter than before. "You hurt my damn arm! No one hurts an Overlord and gets away with it!"

Asch had to hide a smile at the height difference; it was nice not being the shortest swordsman in Somarium anymore.

"So why did you not get it healed?" he replied casually.

The first gorgeous day of the year: the birds were annoyingly loud, the sun was obnoxiously bright, and the breeze was blowing her hair into her face and mouth. Spring was indeed unfortunately in Somarium and Haruhi had scowled at every single person she had passed on her search for Asch. The red head had popped out of bed cheerful and had proceeded to exude said cheer as he prepared for the day and left.

Left! Without so much as a, "Do you want anything while I'm out?"!

Spring, in Haruhi's opinion, was the most redundant season of the year. So what that the snow was melting, the animals were coming back, and people were cleaning and procreating like they'd never done so in their life? What did it matter? All of that was mundane and boring!

Summer, now that was an exciting season! Beaches and bikinis, island hide-outs and murders, and a chance to create your own schedule without abiding by school rules! (Those were the things an exciting season were made of ( ... )

Asch paused mid swing at the sudden unhappy grumbling followed by the loud sneeze, turning and raising an eyebrow at Haruhi. Poor girl looked absolutely miserable; he almost felt bad. He sheathed his sword, heading over to her.

"You okay?" he asked, reaching out to feel her forehead. "...you're a bit warm... don't tell me you're getting sick."

She swats the offending appendage away from herself, her face heating up further. What's wrong with him!? Doesn't he know anything about personal space?! (Though, somewhere, far, far away, she vaguely wonders what's wrong with her. It's a little strange to criticize someone else for "personal space" and why is she so offended by it anyway?)

"It's just hay fever!" she says, backing away. She feels uncomfortable. Really uncomfortable. (And she hates it! Agh!) "And why aren't you wearing a shirt?! It isn't that warm out, yet!"

Don't you know that you're practically naked!? Do you even think about how many perverts are in Somarium!?

All of that advice would be wasted on someone like him, though, so she keeps it to herself.

Asch raised an eyebrow at her reaction, and if he was bothered by the fact that she seemed... flustered around him (or even noticed that she was bothered), he didn't show it. Instead, he reached behind him to his pack, fishing out one of those yellow gummy things that he always had her pull out for him.

"Here, have one," he said. "They don't taste that great, but it'll help you feel better, at least for a little while."

When Lloyd had walked out of his home, he had been surprised by the warmth weather. Not that he was really complaining, the sooner summer was coming, the better the brown haired boy would feel.

But now that the snow was melting away fast, Lloyd felt like getting out of the house. He brought his swords with him, thinking that he might find a good spot to practice his swordsmanship, just to stay ahead of his game. His run-in with the Noctarae showed him that his abilities wouldn't be wasted in this world and practice makes perfection, right? Not to mention that the young man was pretty sure his newly-arrived dad would ask him how his swordsmanship was going and Lloyd didn't want to have his ass handed over by Kratos.....again.Lloyd nearly groaned when he saw Asch working out. Who knew the only man he could ever consider as a rival (and that was just because the red haired man had been a terrible fiancé to Natalia, he told himself) would have the same idea as him. Still, the young man watched Asch for a moment. After all, picking ( ... )

Asch started putting himself through some moves, one of which turned him around... so he was looking directly at Lloyd. He paused, blinking in surprise, before lowering his sword.

"Seems like I wasn't the only one who thought this was a good idea," he stated, a small frown on his face. He didn't know how to react to Lloyd; he didn't find him that bad, despite his initial reaction to him being around Natalia. He seemed to have a big heart, especially where the princess was concerned, even though they were not from the same world.

"Yeah..." Lloyd replied with a small nod.

He didn't know how to react to Asch either. Even though the young man thought he was responsible for Natalia's suffering, Lloyd didn't want to lash out at Asch. The princess clearly had feelings for him still, and he didn't want to hurt her further by giving her fiancé the ass-whooping Lloyd thought he deserved.

There was an awkward pause while Lloyd considered his next move:

"Wanna sparring partner?"

Asch considered a moment, wondering if Lloyd had some ulterior motive... like "sparring" really meant "kicking his ass as hard as he could". Well, if the hot headed young man thought he could try to get the better of him, he would give him a reason to think otherwise.

He motioned for Lloyd to step up, going over to mop up his sweaty face a little, before tossing his shirts a bit further away. Last thing either of them needed was to trip up on them.

Chakra.

He could sense it.

Shooting up in little flares not too far from where he'd chosen to spend his night.

Kakashi closed the book that he'd been reading, curious about its source. It was a nice day, so he'd taken up residence in a tree to spend some quality time with porn. But when he felt those waves of chakra tickling from a distance, it interrupted his concentration.

He got up and moved towards its direction, carefully masking his own presence.

It wasn't too long before he happened upon some guy swinging his sword in the field.

Not bad, Kakashi thought, as he landed on a branch of a tree that allowed him to get a better view. Then, he moved closer, to allow his presence to be felt and seen, dropping to the base of a tree about ten feet away from where the guy was practicing.

He looked awfully familiar.

Asch had moved on to going through his base strike artes, and had just finished Fang Blade for the umpteenth time when he paused, getting the feeling he was being watched. He turned, spotting Kakashi by the tree, and raising an eyebrow at the masked man, privately wondering how he had managed to get that close without him hearing. He raised his off hand in greeting, privately wondering what he was just lurking around for.

Kakashi raised a hand back in response, enjoying the way the bark felt against his back as he slouched back against the tree. A bright orange book dangled in his other hand, a thumb bookmarking a page as the other four digits curled around the spine.

"Yo." He said, with a nod of his head.

"Kakashi, right?" Asch replied, resting his sword a moment, and eyeing the book he was holding. That... wasn't what he thought it was... was it?

"Not having any more trouble with the phone, are you?" he asked, feeling a little... awkward. He had been weird over the phone, and even weirder in person.
